Root [ROM] JTG's ICS - Jan 30 - Beta 3.5

Wonder if i did something wrong, did a my wipes before flash and after flash.maybe you can give some instruction, I am using a partition SD card, I have many issues, freezing...on ...on and on.

what did you wipe? you should everything but sd card and since you are partitioned you should be wiping sd ext as well. also you do not need to wipe after flashing the rom.

I agree. I usually wipe dalvik and catchy 3 times a piece. I don't know to much about SD partitioning.
 
Yes I do wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and sd ext. and after flashing, wipe dalvik cache, cache and flash the market after reboot, also there no 4G button hopefully that will come later because i like what is see but not what i feel....?
 
ok that is good then what recovery are you using? if it is clockwork mod i would do those wipes you do and do it like 3 times as cwm just does not wipe well. if amon ra then i would use vr superwipe as well.

and i do not know if this rom has a2sd support so you might not be able to utilize you sd ext where your apps would normally be stored. did you do a titanium restore of your apps?
 
To get a good clean install you'll want to wipe EVERYTHING except for SD card 2-3 times a piece and then flash superwipe.

If you can't use superwipe because your on clockworkmod recovery.....well then you need to switch recoveries. :D

4g probably won't come until the 3D or Design gets ICS and the code gets ported back to us.
 
Just came across a problem. I went to connect to my wired charger(meaning a non USB charger) and my phone didn't recognize the charger. I unplugged it, rebooted my phone, makes sure the charger was plugged in and tried again. Still the same thing. It didn't recognize the charger at all.

So I flashed back to my daily driver(Salvage Mod!!) And the charger worked fine.

Hmm anyone else come across this issue. My USB Charger worked fine. Atleast when it was connected to the computer.

My recovery amon ra and did not do a superwipe. I will try that where do I get superwipe?

Just flashed this ROM and so far it's working flawlessly. However, I just have one question, how do I get HTC Sense back on it?

Here is the file for superwipe MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

When you Superwipe treat it just like a rom. your going to flash it from recovery. So place it on the root of the SD card(meaning not in any folder) and flash it

Wipe Dalvik 3 times!
Wipe Cache 3 times!
Flash Superwipe 3 times!

then you flash your rom and gapps. That should clear up all the issues your having with this rom.

Welcome to the fourms!

Okay now on to your question. This rom is from the AOSP. Meaning it's not from HTC. There won't be any Sense based ICS stuff until HTC releases a ICS update for 1 of their newer phones and it gets ported back to us.

Thank you Duo! I've been stalking for quite a while...


And got it, I was hoping I could get it looking similar to what I had before. What are people using to get a cool weather/time widget on their home screen? I miss that more than anything...

Ok get I download it and wqill see what happens. However I did download a fresh copy of ICS Beta1 and do all the wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and SD-EXt but not three times and it seems to work much better now BUT...Nav still do not work properly error TTS Engine has stop, and most Importantly Wireless tethering NOT working also if i start it it shut wifi off and no way for me to get it on unless i reboot the device......

Quest! if I backup this copy and do all the wipes and + superwipe then restore will it make and sence or i will have to re-flash ICS all over again?

My wife has Fancy Widgets and likes it alot. Alot of options. I personally like the transparent background which it has.

Or Beautiful Widgets works just as well.

One more question, is there an app that replicates Facebook for HTC Sense? I want to be able to link my contacts to Facebook to pull their images...
 
Looks like beta 4 is in the wild with testers giving links to beta 4. Hopefully JTG will release to the public sometime
