Eris to v2.x, when?

here's a thought...

when vzw introduced the storm2, they immediatly made available the 5.0 firmware for the storm1, thus making the software the same as the storm2. this was done to appease the owners of the storm1, and keeping the complaints at bay.

according to phandroid vzw will be dropping another android phone tomorrow? a phone with a little more curb appeal than the moto, but a slightly higher firmware version than the eris?

speculation, but could it be a pattern?

probably wrong. we shall see.

The HTC Incredible just popped up in Verizon's inventory systems. It could roll out then. If the phone didnt have that ugly red/orange back, I would love to have it! But if this makes the Eris faster, then who cares. The extra .5 inches of screen space isnt that big of a deal. Anyways...back to what I said up top...The HTC Incredible just popped up in Verizon's inventory systems. It could roll out then. :cool:
 
The difference is the storm 1 was a top tier phone. And 5.0 made it actually work like one. From what I can tell with this phone is actually works well so an update is not needed like the on the storm. Hope your right though!

i agree, but apps are being developed for devices running 1.6 and above and the turn by turn directions feature, this could be a trigger.

i dont really know, but i hope im right too.
 
I kinda think it's funny we've all spent so much time discussing something none of us have any control over and that really isn't all that life-changing, in the grand scheme of things. It sure is addictive, though! :D

In an attempt to distract myself from thinking about 2.1, I'm watching American Idol. I hate American Idol but it's the only mind numbing thing I can find to do that will take up enough time until VZW finally gets this update to us. Please VZW, get this update OTA so I can turn off these two bit hacks on FOX...PLEASE!

Well, we're focused on the update because (fill in the blank, I like 1.5 just fine).

Plus we're concerned about (fill in the blank, I have no concerns with my Eris; it's perfect).

Also there's the hope that 2.1 will make the Eris more like (fill in the blank, I find the Eris to be a great compromise between N1 and Droid).

So, yeah, bring on 2.1! I can't wait either. :rolleyes: <---- checking for rain

LOL! Until this year's games I had no idea there was so much curling!!! ... but I still think it wins the mind numbing award - sorry! :D (You're right - a sure cure for insomnia!)

Ok, I admit it; I watched the entire Switzerland/Great Britain match last night.. heck, when it became tied at 5 in the 7th end I was actually rooting for GB.

Don't laugh, I thinks that now legal here in Iowa-

Let's see,,,,,,,I can marry my brother, but I can't marry my sister---or something like that--I bet 2.1 has an app that can do the ceremony!! If not the iphone has an app for that.
