Root Flashed to Boost and now in Bootloop

my evo 4g is stuck on a boot loop, it was on version 2.3 and rooted with revolution, half way flashed to boost mobile, i was using a custom rom (speedy shift), then i decided to put the NV items and the Nams again on the phone from the incognito, i forgot to put the phone in stock and whne i restarted the phone, it got stuck on the white screen rebooting. only lets me into HBoot, i tryed the pc36img, amon ra recovery and nothing seems to work

pc36img idk regular i guess, i used amon ra 2.3, when i put the pc36img it says update ok , and nothing happens, i put the recovery and no luck, it still reboots i even tryed 2 different Ruus

ok you need to pay attention to what you use. PC36IMG is a generic file name that hboot is programmed to look for. it can be used to install splashscreens (the white htc screen is a splashscreen), update radios, bootanimations and also switching recoveries as well as running ruu's. so you see it is important that you know what PC36IMG files you have tried.

so i'm guessing that you tried PC36IMG ruu's and also amon ra 2.3.

do you know which ruu's you have tried? what is your baseband(radio)? this can be found in the hboot screen.

ok so the 3.29 ruu might not be the right pne to have tried. can you tell me what you radio version is now. it is found in the hboot menu at th etop of the screen.

ok so are you sure your about your hboot and radio? i did not think that flashing to boost will change your hboot. it might with your radios. but i'm not very familiar with flashing to boost. i do not think that any ruu will work so long as your radios are like that. and messing with NV's and such is dangerous stuff. i know that some bootloops can be caused by corrupt NV's. i wish i can help, but my brain is fried right now. i know that there are a few members here who know more about flashing onto other carriers like boost. hopefully they can help you out.

yes thats the radio and hboot,it wasnt complte with the boost flash cuz i upgraded to 2.3.4 and had the baseband that came with the ota update, but im thinking it was becuz i rewrote the nv itrms while in a custom rom, my friend had the phone before and he always changed the nv items and the nams, since he couldnt flash it to boost he gave it to me

Starting Evo Froyo update!!!

Transfer the update ZIP to SDCARD

Wipe data and dalvik cache after reboot into recovery. To do this, boot into the bootloader (vol down+power), choose Recovery, connect usb to computer, run recovery-windows.bat

Choose Update from SDCARD

Does hboot scan for a file when you boot to it? Can you get to recovery? What happens when you try to go there?

ok so i moved all your posts here. i think that your issue is your hboot and your radios that will prevent you from flashing the ruu's and getting them to work. not sure on what you can do at this point, i'm sorry to say.

yes hboot does find a file i can update the recovery it says OK but when i go to reboot, it goes back in the boot loop, the only thing i got done doing today was installing the ADB drivers on my PC, i downloaded a file from xda to fix the NV items and the batch wont open

with revolutionary (tool used to gain root, s-off) the hboot will be either 6.16 or 6.17.

here is a list of ruu's:

none of these matches with your radios so you most likely will have problems with them.

you may try to fix it using android flasher, as long as you can put the phone in fastboot mode.

go into hboot then fastboot.

As to fixing the nv items while on custom rom, that is NOT a problem. I am running a decks gingerbread which is a version of cm7 and using some information I found I can put the phone in Diag mode, on a sense rom that would be dialing ##3424#
Then I can use cdma workshop or qpst or qxdm and change values.

I am not 100% sure how fixable your problem is but Im willing to go over it and try.

i wasnt on a stock rom, is that probably why the radio and hboot are diefferent?

[UTILITY] Android Flasher 2.2.0.5! (12/12/11) - xda-developers

download this, also download the img files of the radio and recovery put your phone into hboot, then go to fastboot.

then run android flasher you will put check mark in the radio and the recovery hit the browse and find the img file then go.

If there is an hboot image then you can use that too I would guess.
