Shabby we have to do just that to get roms working on the nook tablet and the work on it has been done already and I am sure it can easily be ported to work on our phone as well.

with the help of unforgiven512 and SuigintouLain we have fully booting working source for the samsung admire.

the repo is on my github for anyone to see, its freely available so any and all help is greatly appreciated. the prevail branch of course, i am hitting a good number of errors with it but i feel like we should be able to take those down (i mean hell look what the prevail community has done when it was said it couldnt be)

im not promising anything, just that stuff is working on the admire, and i spent about 3 hours trying to mesh prevail code into it. it almost compiles now (compiling being the key term there.. hopfully it continues to boot XD)



P.S. no i have SERIOUS doubts about this phone hitting 900mhz, let alone 1ghz due to it being oc'd already

Its already overclocked? mines never gotten even close to as hot as my Droid x used to at stock clocks.. what would stop us? When running benches with my x it would get around 65

And come to think of it my gfs og Droid was clocked at 600mhz stock and we had a kernel on it that would OC it to 1.25ghz... I still say its possible for atleast 1ghz but that's just a hunch

He says its overclocked because the Optimus phones are all stock clocked at 600 and they are the same cpu.

on an overclock kernel my optimus is good to 806mhz but more then that and it starts rebooting.

Could you raise the voltage at all? I'm no pro at overclocking but I do know that helps with stability issues when pushing it.

right now we are the getting it to compile stage.. i hit a bunch of errors, after that will be holding breath and hoping it boots.. if it boots then huzzah! we can figure out if anything is now broken... then, we can finally start to add in tweaks

I was referring to the optimus. I'm not sure how big of a following it has but if its anything like the marquee or the precedent it wouldn't surprise me if that was the problem with the OC kernel for it

Ya people have played with the voltages, I have not kept up with the latest, however they have gotten slightly higher clocks but it running faster is not making the phone process things faster.
I think it also caused other problems.

The precedent is actually different hardware wise its got more ram and most likely some other things as well seeing as though they cannot flash prevail roms to it and ithas no gingerbreads... its a pile lol
