No, you have to flash everything together, not just one package.
 
dammit i posted like 6 posts back ALL YOU NEED IS THE PDA TAR!

i pulled the boot tar because you guys dont need it, you run a HUGE risk of bricking should anything go wrong.

if you want to have working everything again flash pda, just remember youll have improved signal better battery etc etc (all the nice things that come with a new radio) until you flash the phone pda. which i wouldnt do... unless there is an update for you all.
 
I know I know, everyone hates the noob, but I did SCHR720_EH02_PDA.tar. Back to 2.3.4 from 2.3.6 ok, but I try to root and it says error no free space. Also from 2.3.6 to 2.3.4 my mms is not working. Hate to say it but I might just stick with 2.3.6 for now.
 
make sure to do a factory reset after doing the pda.tar

you dont need to root as its pre-rooted :)

you guys had a tough time with root due to samsung not leaving a lot of room, drockstar had to make that special busybox for you guys :)
 
Okay im not sure if this was the problem or if I did something but I'm having what you guys might know as the Sleep Of Death every 20mins or so.. like ill be normally using the phone(text calss web etc) and once I lock the screen and come back to it in a few ... its off.. -___- any ideas?? All I did was run this completly stock. Once booted all I did was install TBpro and remove the bloatware and change the build prop. To the one in Mysterys Admiral Rom.... help?
 
Ok, root works fine, was installing the wrong version of superuser I guess? Anyway, everything seems to work fine but still no mms!
 
Did that. I got MMS to work!

I did this...

Fixing MMS (Send & Receive)
1- Download and place these files into the system folder (click here) you could use ES File explorer (Free Click Here To Download)... go to its setting and activate the root access along with changing the home directory to "/" you could do the file copying
2- Download & Install "APN Settings Shortcut"
 3- Place a shortcut for the "APN Settings Shortcut" on one of your desktops
4- Restart your phone.
5- Run the "APN Settings Shortcut" and push on the menu button and choose "Reset to defaults"

Here's everything I did. First I was running 2.3.6.
Then I ran ODIN with One Package and Auto Reboot clicked. Use the SCHR720.ops and SCHR720_EH02_PDA.tar. Let it do its thing and once running did a factory reset.
After that I accessed the market and downloaded superuser.
Then deleted all the bloatware crap and installed Handcent SMS
Then did Fixing MMS (Send & Receive)

Now everything seems to be working!
 
kay everything seems to be working fine except for one thing. It takes about another minute to boot up. and when its booting up on the second samsung screen that says samsung sch-r720 there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. any ideas?

The yellow triangle means your running custom software. Look at the g2 forums n they have the same problem. a custom kernel can remove it
 
yes as explained the yellow mark means you used odin... at this time no way around it :/

as for the longer bootup all i can say is if you didnt do a factory wipe then its prolly due to the excess crap in there :(

Thanks everything is fine now it was slow at first now its normal. I thought the yellow triangle had something to do with it being slow.

Try it again, if its still being stupid redownload the files and try a third time.

Bugs are often caused by tiny corruptions in the files or hiccups in the flashing.
