Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

This is a nice ROM, Blood. CTMOD has always been fast but this one flies.

I still use Swype but I used that Ice Cream Sandwich Keyboard a good bit today and I noticed that the predictiveness seems better to me than some other stock keyboards. Definitely useable.

Has anybody used the Mobile AP? If so, how does that compare with the WIFI hotspot app we have been using?

Lots of nice features in the settings for this one.

Excellent.

Flashed the 3.1.2. Definitely like the look and feel and the keyboard. A2sd had absolutely no problem. Exported my contact to a vcard. When I try to import it, my contacts stay empty, any ideas?

Sorry 2 more things, quadrant was 1069, definite improvement over 2.5 and mobile AP force closes immediately. So far so good!

just flashed the latest 3.1.2, installed kouma 1.3, and installed caffeine and font installer from the market. changed font to stock and in preferences set boxes for androidclock.ttf and android clock highlight.ttf. After reboot getting a system notification for a 19.3 mb update for this

FA19 Bug Fix Release

"this software update includes security enhancements for your Samsung Prevail. Please ensure your battery is fully charged before continuing. This update requires reboot and your device will be unavailable during this time."

Restart and Install button on the bottom...

What the hell is that?

Edit: reflashed a backup with said apps installed; chose arial this time, rebooted same message. A search mentions that this update is for the Replenish.

Uh oh...
Update....What Update?

Searched Google for FA19

http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-replenish/155775-root-gingerbread-fa19.html

And I am not knocking this rom. I have used this since the beginning (all iterations), and it really is the only rom I use as my daily driver. just wanted to give feedback and see if anyone else has seen this.

if that file gets downloaded to your phone

can you upload it some where, I would like to look at it

So for the Replenish, which is a Sprint Phone that is very very close to ours

they have

EK18 - Android 2.3.6
and
FA19 - which is security updates

Find and update the software version on your Samsung Replenish

I wonder if they have CIQ or has it been removed

and now are they pushing FA19 to our phone ???, or is our new ROM ported from the Admire just confusing their update server

very very interesting

It seems that when ever we release some new CIQ free ROM they turn around and release an update

you know what they mean by security enhancement right

they probably block root access, who knows maybe even remove Odin support from the bootloader

Excellent points Hroark. Yeah those "updates" definitely will cause headaches.

Im lost i just went to 2.5 then i saw 3.1.2 question is can i still use link2sd or dont i need it and did 3.1.2 partition my card for me or do i have to do that

llink2sd, dta2sd, koumakernel 1.2/1.3 all work. so you can use what ever one you want.

Should I upgrade to CTMod3.1.2.zip? Because everything is working for me. I only need the updated removed-app zip.

My order of Flashing -
1.
EJ06 Gingerbread Rooted Image with CWM5 made by Chin Checka
2.
CLOCKWORKMOD 5027 FOR ODIN FIXED
3. CTMOD - 3.1

Excellent Work!!! :D

Thanx again

yea, I would update to it. the regular 3.1 has a problem with the ringer not working and 3.1.2 fixes it

So Bloodawn, does the CT in CTmod really stand for Chicken T!t$? Love the new rom btw

yup

your contacts should be linked to your gmail account you use for the market. when you sign into the market they should automatically sync up

is there a zip file in your /cache folder?

Hi Blood,

yes there is... cc2718d69f1d.update_SPH-M820_EJ06_to_FA19.zip. I'll see what I need to do to send this to you.

can you use root explorer or something like that and see if a zip file is in your /cache folder?

I see that mvaness has the zip covered, but quick question. I dont have root explorer. I used ES File Manager and I did not see the cache folder. Is it only visible with root explorer?

so someone who is running pure EJ06 stock with no mods at all

should be able to apply this update

then they will have a 2.3.6 stock system

they can then install CWM with Odin, and dump the partitions with Kouma's backup utility

We can then extract the files from the system.rfs file and make some ROMS from it

Now if this new version of 2.3.6 has CIQ in it, is it even worth messing with

I didn't do anything. Lol It was working after I flashed the ROM. As for the menu buttons, I posted that a few post up and I'm not sure exactly what combination did it.

I do know that haptic feedback is checked everywhere it is supposed to be under settings.

Please note that I only have haptic feedback when long pressing the search or back menu button, not the menu or home button.

They managed to block the new OCR. they did not block ODIN (I doubt they would, it's their tool that I'm sure they use for repairs)

All signs point toward CIQ is gone though! YAY!

Here's an ODIN image of the system with CWM installed
MD5SUM: 5b426bc0136d42bc109b891f6a4ca105
Filesize: 208951574 Bytes
Link: (Waiting for Mediafire to finish Verification)

did you use my odin image or did you make your own

there should be a way for us to get root with cwm

Well Blood

2 days of my work and 2 days of your work, and they release a supposedly CIQ free update

Well I am not even really sure they released it yet, I am not hearing a lot about it yet, but we do have an Odin Image now

I just think it is funny that one week after I released CM7 and you released CT they released EJ06

and 4 days after I released the CIQ free Admire Port they come out with this update

Well the more ROM we have the better, but I do kind feel like they are reacting to the stuff we are doing.

Made my own from stock EJ06, applied FA19 update, Installed CWM 5.0.2.7.
Ripped an image.
Didn't notice I was slow on the draw :D

I'll see if i can root manually while in CWM, then rip an image and post that instead
