what do you mean flash it? lol you can just flash a new one on top of old one or something lol the file is compiled in the framework :D what do you use to decompile? apk tool? or apk manager?
on my wiki check out the metroff mms ;) Same concept, just remove the mms stuff n leave the eri file.

Finally got this thing runnin! Stable at 1.9ghz! Only one thing i hate... Swipe. Any chance you can cook the default Android keyboard in the next update? thanks PG!

If you have a backup of the stock ROM you can pull out the LG keyboard with appextractor that's what I did

well i could always go into my backup on my computer, phone, etc... and pull it from the file system too thats what ive done in the past and just install it normally like you wold any other app. but if it wasnt too hard (im assuming that its not) pg could put it in the next build for the less "tech savvy" who also liek the stock android keyboard (assuming that theres gonna be another update...) just my thoughts.

Actually one (2 really) were donated so I could work on it. :) I use a DroidX on Cricket lol.

I like the Esteem tho, if I were needing a new phone it would def be it or I'd hold out for the Connect lol.

see in my opinion the esteem has better specs then the connect. i was gonna hold off on the connect then i looked up the specs at phonearena.com and i decided that the esteen was way better...

Really weird problem with this ROM...every time i try to install apps
My phone goes into fast boot mode and reboots. I've tried to wipe and reflash but it keeps happening... Any ideas?

into fastboot? that is weird, no clue why it would being doing that. Only time I have gotten into fastboot is when I purposely break boot.

Hi pg what kernal works with zvc
The one that comes in this one atm is the only ZVC kernel avail afaik.

I have compiled a new one with some of kanadia's homeless setting added in but I am holding off til I get my new battery (hopefully today) to test it out.

Yeah i'm pretty sure its fast boot lol...it blacks out then goes right to your blue Android boot animation for about 10 seconds or less then shows the lock screen lol. And that's every time i try to install a app...from the market or my Sd card...they just won't install :(

fastboot will be a black screen white text on the left in a basic system font.

Have you tried wiping data n cache again?

Quoting myself lol. Once you installed the rom let the phone boot up as normal. Then go back to recovey and do another data wipe. And cache then reboot. Try installing an app. This was some fix find by some other dude here.

Don't remember his name but it worked for me when i was on this rom.

ohhhh...well thats good to know...i assusmed it was fast boot because if i use the "quick boot" app and do a "hot boot" it goes right to the boot animation then to the lock screen. I assumed "fast boot" and "hot boot" were the same thing lol. My bad.

and doing another wipe did work :) thanks guys :)

Well I was fine on ZVB with the kernel and ROM made by Michael.. Anything above 1.9 would make me reboot, so I stayed on 1.8, no biggie.

Now I went back to stock, and upgraded to ZVC clean after a complete wipe.

Installed the upgrade Recovery AIO, and new PG ROM from here successfully, no problems whatsoever except I can not install any apps at all, through any means.

Any app installed makes it reboot, and no app is installed :(

Wipe data again, re-installed ROM, but no go, also ROM Toolbox always says "License Failed" and would not allow me to underclock :(

Does this ROM and Kernel come already overclocked to 2.0 ??? I though that may be my problems but I'm not sure :(

Thanks for all your hard work PG, I would donate again whenever I can.

EDIT!

NEVERMIND! After a third wipe/factory reset through CWM, I can now install apps without reboots! =D ROM Toolbox disappeared? Don't use it anyways, no biggie.

Enter CMW by turning off the phone, holds +- volume buttons at the same time and hold power button until you see the LG Logo, without letting go of the volume buttons, press the power buttons more than 3 times until you see a text asking about wiping data, no worries though, just press the power button twice to get into CMW, and do a wipe/reset from there, DO NOT re-install the rom, just do the wipe/reset, and reboot, that's all.

Thanks!!! Will report any more problems as I test.

haha thanks, was just about to make that same comment :D

p.s. when manually booting into recovery you only need to press power twice, just pace yourself lol, press once to acknowledge, second time to confirm :D hope that helps with some of the confusion..
