Is anyone able to use their Google Wallet prepaid card again? I know they turned it off but i read that they updated it and you are now able to use it again. I have the LTE Galaxy Nexus .apk from a while back and i used the process to be able to install it straight from the market through the stock android browser. Is the app supposed to update by itself or something?

Some users are having problems, but it works fine for me. Both provisioning and making purchases. For the record, I signed up when the apk first became available on xda. It was buggy at first, but after google or money network made some changes/updates, it has worked perfectly ever since (for the past couple of weeks).
My guess is that for "new" users (those who signed up during or after the "time of turmoil" --- when google was dealing with the security flaw and the system was undergoing some updates/changes - a period of about a week or two) may still be prevented from prepaid. Can anyone confirm or deny this hypothesis?
Also, for the record, I've added $20 twice, and made 2 purchases.

It wont work anymore for you because you reset- anyone who reset after the whole security debacle is going to get the Unavailable problem, its still not fixed. Im in this boat with you and so are a bunch of others we just have to wait. New activations are fine or if you havent made a reset since DONT or youll be SOL

I forgot and now I am SOLOut 22 bucks for an undetermined period of time.
Supposedly, via a commenter on Droid Life, a customer service rep told him that this recent update of the app fixed something for new users, and that the next update will sort out our problem, and is coming in two weeks.
I mean, don't mark your calendar or anything, but I figure secondhand information is better than none at all.

The rep told me that last night and said it was to be ready this week but we know what happens with ETAs 'round here

More interesting is that Google requires us to use a valid Social Security Number when validating our payment method. What I mean is that when i go to add funds they ask for my SSN which I never had to do before.
