Root v6 Supercharger... AWESOME

Great info guys! To Day I installed recovery, KAK, V6 supercharger, and the 3G Turbocharger.. Can't wait to try it out and see how it does.. Thank you!

FYI I have the Commander with 2.3.3

Helpful hit:

Enable Powershifting (option 23)
Run Engine Flush (option 18)
This refreshes your ram and helps loads with lag.
Make a scriptmanager widget and select the new "Engine Flush" script it made.
Tap it whenever you want to clear your ram or speed up your lag.

Spike G thank you for the tip, that was nice of you to do that.

Just a side note, I had one heck of a time getting the V6-SuperCharger to work, but I did it. I had a dumb script that kept coming up on the screen, and would not let me use the V6-SuperCharger, once I figured out a way around it, now everything works.
I think I burned out some of my brains in solving that issue, and at 66 years of age, I have got to watch it. Just kidding of course. But I am 66 years old.

The engine flush does a GREAT job of speeding things up. I can do it after running the full V6 script. However, when I create the widget for it to execute the Fast Engine Flush script and activate it I get the following message and it basically has the same stats before and after-

/data/Fast_Engine_Flush.sh: cannon create /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches: permission denied

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I would love to just tap the widget instead of going through the full V6 script. Thanks!

are you running the script as "su"?

Ummmm.... no. Somehow I thought it would do that automagically and never checked that out. However, I just fixed that and now it runs PERFECTLY! Thank You!!!

Now for a bonus question (I'm kidding). But do you have any thoughts on how to run it at a scheduled time? I saw that mentioned in the V6 script and after a little searching I don't see a simple way of setting that up. Any ideas?

hmm, easy way? i dont think so, i've never really fooled around with it though. perhaps a scheduler app in the market?

Thanks Spike G. I've been down that road with no success yet. However, if I figure something out I will be sure to post it. Thanks again for your help.

figured it out.

Go into script manager and hit the menu button go to more, then advanced options, then scheduler. you can set it up here, i set mine to run every 30 minutes every day

I have two questions. With the latest update, do I just load that and it automatically replaces the older version I am running?

Also, for some reason my quick widgets cannot be moved to my slider bar at the bottom of the screen. How do I make that work?

I usually uninstall the old version, then install the updated version.

Can you put any widgets on the slider bar?

I uninstalled old, installed new.

Now, by slider bar, I am talking about the bottom tray, I think. The one where your call icon and all usually is. I can put any other icon there. But when I try and put a script manager widget there, it will not let me.

I hear you saying you can put any other icon there. But the script manager widget is a widget, can you put widgets on your tray?
it may only take up one grid square and be the size of an icon, but.... its a widget.

I did the v6 supercharger script. so far it seems a little smoother. I accidentally hit the wrong number when selecting the menu scroll speed and now I cant figure out how to change it.

Okay, when you get to the point where it asks you to enter an option (1-31), you enter the number 26. That will take you into driver options. You should be able to change for scrolling speed there. Have you read through this entire thread yet? If not, I would highly suggest doing so.

If I set a schedule for the engine flush, it runs, but has anyone noticed in the super user log that script manager runs twice for each time scheduled?

i got it scheduled every 3 hours. it may be superuser to start the script and superuser to exit the script. if you notice when you choose the exit option in the v6 script, it'll grant superuser permission to script manager
