get an IRC client (I use Chatzilla in FF)

irc.thefuzz4.net is the server

#roottheeris is the channel
 
binny1007 says it worked and he has 2.1 on his phone off XDA
BTW: He is a "senior member" and part of the Eris Dev Team. So...should be worth a few pounds of salt.
 
Looks like on the irc captain got his to work
Hes setting it up as we speak he going keep us posted.
 
You know, maybe this Chinese guy was sent by their government to give us this before China sold all US bonds. Kinda...lighten the blow a bit.

Watch, tomorrow, US will declare war on China, but we'll have 2.1 so who cares?

Can have the damn thing turn-by-turn me to Shanghai.

from the IRC chat, it looks like they've got it working. Someone said something about Facebook link not working.

They brute-forced the corrupted bits and figured out what they were supposed to be and some brave soul flashed it onto his Eris and it booted up.

So I downloaded the update from mediafire but haven't downloaded the patch. Has someone uploaded the patched version or am I going to have to hope that the patch file is still available by the time I get back home?

Not sure what is needed. A few more people are working on it, so someone else apart from the initial guinea pig should be able to provide instructions.

I dont think you download the patch, as far as I know you need to conduct some satanic rituals to get it to patch
 
I think someone should say a few words about all the "2.1 on Eris WHEN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" threads, may they rest in peace. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
