Help New Samsung Admire Vibrating Driving Me Nuts!!

I have a new MetroPCS Samsung Admire and it gives a buzzing pattern of vibrating while showing no notifications. the pattern is 'buzz' - two seconds - short buzz three times. I have no idea of what is is trying to tell me.

Anyone have any suggestions of what to check?

OK, and with Windows I could use Task Manager. is there any kind of an app that will tell me. It does come and go at times and I notice it is when I am not in a Wifi area that it happens come to think of it.
