well I do when its not stuck in test mode lol. But when ril doesnt work nothing radio related works, so when I get RIL working I will know it cuz wifi n bluetooth will work.

is cyanogen mispelled intentionally? 
yall need to understand that pg and the other developers are trying their best to get things done and working smoothly. people asked for some kind of improvement and pg uploaded the POC cm9 rom. ill rather wait for a big update for cm9, than to get constant minor updates on how its going.
Anyways, hopefully you guys get everything working well. thanks for all ure time spent on improving our Esteem.

Im so confused... CM7? i thought we already had that because your are working on cm9I have it booting, but radios not working yet so the call, txt, data, wifi, etc etc yet.

No, he went right to work on cm9 when we got root, recovery, etc..
Because cm9 is obviously way better than cm7.
Im guessing theres a lot of issues and things missing in cm9, so hes working on cm7 whenever they hit a wall on cm9. cm7 would still be better than the stock roms...

It boots, you can nav thru it etc, but no services aka call, txt, wifi bluetooth etc until I can get RIL working.

After the cm9 prealpha i lost interest in the "oOoOoOo" factor. Now my interest is a working cm rom. (Idc which, though i would like cm7 to hold me out until cm9 is done, which it seems like itll be a while. )

Cm7 is closer atm, once RIL is working the radios will work n should be good enough for a daily driver with maybe some stuff not working still. Cm9 still has a lot work yet b4 its will be usable.
Time frame on either is up in the air atm as I have more important priorities to attend too n only get to work on either a couple times a week and a good portion of that time is spent on researching fixes etc.

Been meaning to ask, i was reading somewhere that in order to get cm7 on lg optimus 2X, they needed to use the RIL for froyo. If thats the case, couldnt we use this on our phone?

just search me on guthub. My esteem repo is current enough if anyone wants to dl or fork it. No changes I 've made since my last push has made any real difference, except maybe the sdcard lol, and I dont remeber if that was b4 or after the last push.
Any help at all is appreciated. Just email, PM, or start a thread we the Dev research, n I will read up on it when I can when mia. I will still post from my phone, but not like I do from a PC
Why do you think it sucks? Ubuntu is for the most part Debian, which happens to be an excellent distro.

I searched your esteem repo for cm7 Saturday. I merely scanned it, didnt fork it. Im a little far away from my linux so i refuse to mess with it until im in front of my linux.

Both cyanogenmods will be a while until they are really ready. As for ZVD, i updated myself and noticed that my phone doesnt lag anymore. Have GSE2 and ld-ick 1.7 theme flashed on it with some build.prop tweaks and its flying like never before. Slight increase in internet speed too. So in truth, it doesn't matter if u update or not. If u do, just be very careful of what u flash cuz its relatively new software and is still being explored. Once the zvd source is released, im sure PG will update his work as well.
