Root lg esteem tethering

stupid question, where do you go in the app to change the device?

Edit: nvm I found it right under my finger
 
An error message which states,

"Not Root!
Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application."

popped up on my screen when I tried to run the app.

What should I do?
 
I use it to play on Xbox some times and it is pretty fast. Comes to the speeds of my computer internet

you'd have to root it, warning though, really read over the directions and do them exactly as they say. people have been having issues rooting with the new zvd update.

by the way welcome to the forums, people here are really great and try to help where they can, unlike another forum that will remain namelss

If you wanna wifi tether your laptop without the phone crashing just dualboot your laptop with Ubuntu and your phone won't crash ever,but for some reason they blocked all computers running windows,the phone will trip out if you do.
