you formatted it using the phones format in the settings menu or plugged into your phone plugged into your pc and formatted? mine was the first with the sdcard issue i simply formatted using the phones format option and it worked first shot from there and try cut and paste instead of copying to avoid any loss of data during the transfer someone mentioned that to me last night as well.

I have spare parts and my end key works just fine. Try to dl spare parts again. power cycle the phone and see how that goes. I had to do this with another app to get it to behave
 
I just wanted to take time to thank the Mods and Forum gods for all the help you guys are giving newer users. And we can't forget about those guys at XDA they did a great job and had it patched in hours! so thank you ladies and gentlemen and thanks to the chinese fellow for leaking the 2.1 OS for us to use. :) Flat out you guys are the sxxt!

Yes. That's what I did. I mounted the sd card then loaded the ZIP file on the Microsd card. Then shut off phone. Pressed the two phone buttons and the process began.
 
I entered a fugue state when I got home from work.

When I came to, I seem to have installed 2.1.

Odd.

Works.
 
I'm loving 2.1! It's working great and I've noticed an absolute improvement in overall performance of my phone.

Is there no way to sync contacts with facebook now?! I've only barely looked at it really but at first glance I didn't see the option anymore...

Over in 2.1 bugs and fixes OTD helped me to find a solution.

I've having too much reading and playing, I drove about 200 miles today for work; used the NAV-AWESOME and loved it....She spoke to me, now I have to give my phone a name!!! Yes I have a theory....The VZW folks are very smart....If I wanted to test something to a mass quantity of users, I would have one of my people release an earlier version, then hundreds or thousands of like "geeky-type" people who like to tinker with things like this will download it, play with it, and report all the quirks the testers may or may not have found; create the final fixes and release the full version completely intact and better than it would have been by testing with just 10's or 100's of testers. This way you get a mass testing group for free and get to read all their reports. I'm on to you!!!!;)

wiill downloading the leaked version make it so I cannot get a new phone for free from Verizon if it tweaks or breaks? all I wanna know. thanks.

:rolleyes: Most of the employees in the corporate stores are simply Cashiers that won't have a clue as to what firmware even means.
 
I have been having absolutely no issues with 2.1, except one thing. Viewing threads in messages takes longer than it used to. It now loads each time you view it even if I just viewed it a second ago. Anyone having this problem? Granted, I have over 3000 messages but it loaded quickly with 1.5
 
I was actually thinking about rubbing it in the faces of the VZW store employees tomorrow. Gotta go there for some other business, but I wanna walk in there and ask the same girl I asked a month ago "when's 2.1 coming?" and she'll say, again, "oh, 1.6 was just pushed out, 2.0 should be out next week." I'll kick her in the throat, flash her the firmware version, and walk out.

Damn VZW people.
 
To tell you the truth I see more 2.1 threads now than before the leak happened. So much for them dying down.

If you kick her in the throat I think she will have trouble looking at the screen. I would show her the firmware version first. :D
