Here ya go folks, Undeniable Marquee built from stock GB!!! It has been debloated, deodexed, and tweaked for better performance and speed.

What is this?

This is a lightweight ROM built both for speed and stability. This ROM is based off of the LG's stock 2.3.4 Gingerbread. It is fully deodexed, and debloated.

How do I install this?


  • 1.) Download the .zip & copy to phone or sdcard (make sure 4g or wifi is enabled if dl'd from phone).
  • 2.) Zip can be installed from external sd in CWM
  • 3.) MAKE A BACKUP
  • 4.) WIPE DATA!!! WIPE CACHE!!! WIPE DALVIK!!!
  • 5.) Go to install zip from sdcard
  • 6.) Select LS855_signed_031512_130546.zip
  • 7.) Reboot

You the MAN Playful!! I will def. try this as soon as I know someone else with a Boost Marquee has already. Can't afford to brick my phone since I couldn't pay for the replacement. I wanted to ask you if you added any of the tweaks in the "Speed Tweaks" post? Also if you were able to remove Boost Banners and Carrier IQ? Thanks in advanced for all your hard work. I know as soon as I get some extras cash i will be donating for sure!

Not yet no. Figure get a stock base out first for those who may need it to base ROMs off of and then mod it from there.

I will look into the speed tweaks n CIQ next. ;)

Sweet!! Yeah that is a good idea. Have a starting point for other devs. If possible to put in a request.. I think that CIQ and OEM (Boost/Sprint) Banners removed, and if possible to implement Beats Audio and Speed Tweaks I have read on this forum would by far be amazing!! And you say this ROM should work with Boost also correct?

Does this mean that with this ROM or this app we can already overclock? Or do we still have to wait for the custom kernel. By the way, I was wondering if you might be able to get some ideas/help from the development that has already been done on the Optimus Black? Looks like there have been some attempts to convert ROMs back and forth on XDA, but none of them appear to have been successful.

I've been trying to find anything which might be useful in developing an overclock kernel, but no luck so far.

Overclock requires a custom kernel, which I will work on. I am downloading the source for the LS855 now. I already have it for the AS855 but want to be safe. ;)
 
Playful, first of all thank you, and I just donated. But, is this room for sprint users ( I noticed you said to ensure 4g is enabled) I am very familiar with CWM and flashing roms and this think aborts immediately. .zip was on root of SD card. Tried rebooting into recovery, mounting and unmounting SD card. Any suggestions?

files I used to make it were from a LS855 and had Sprint as the carrier info in the build.prop, I dont know what Boost would have offhand.

I will check my updater-script to see if anything looks wrong.

Anyone else have any issues flashing this?
 
I hit yes...flash .zip and then

E: error in sdcard/LS855....can't remember the exact name.zip
(status 0)
Installation aborted

Out of respect for the hard work I'm gonna test it right now my phone is making a back up as I'm typing this I have a boost so I hope this does work....

EDIT: When trying to install I get an error and the it aborts the install...
 
I have the Sprint Marquee Playful, I am downloading your first post as I type this and will flash it. Let you know here shortly...
