I read up and Link2sd doesnt even use the sd-ext partition. It lets you move more stuff than normal to your SD-vfat partition.

So, if you use link2sd and you partitioned your sdcard, then you're just short-changing yourself.

Thanks again wetbiker, I was getting an error trying to install TB from the market after installing 3.3 and restoring sd-ext did the trick. Dont you go disappearing no time soon, lol
 
Thanks for the rom and kernal Blood and Kouma. This 3.3 and 2.1 got me as happy as a fat kid eating pizza watching WrestleMania. Good shit ninjas:)

With all the talk earlier regarding BeatsAudio, I decided to listen to some music for a while without it installed, and now I just installed it. I could immediately tell a difference as far as having a much more rich base sound. This is just with a $20 pair of skullcandy earbuds. The base was definitely a lot deeper sounding though. I'll keep installing this from now on.
 
Bug Report: CTmod 2.3 with KK 2.1

Got a phone call this morning while fixing a cup of coffee. I answered and absent-mindedly held the phone up to my ear w/ my shoulder, pushing the screen onto my face. After the phone call was over, the phone was lagged from me trying to push everything at once and the notification drawer was open.

Uninstalled my face from my head and the phone works fine now, tho it seems to be covered in blood more often. Will install a screen protector.
 
Did you have the EQ turned on ? That's where I noticed the bass . Then again , it could be the combination of the two together .

My hearing isn't like it was in my younger dayz . 2 many Metallica concerts ! :D:p:D

that's not true


Link2SD does not create the second partition, you need to create it yourself. You can use any partition manager such as Minitool, Paragon, Easeus etc. for this.
How it works:
Link2SD mounts the second partition of your SD card and makes OS mounts it at boot time.

although with the your kernel mods and dta2sd as an option i don't understand why link2sd still makes it way into the discussion.

Whoa guys, settle down... once I realized that link2sd is unnecessary with sd-ext as data, I reflashed and proceeded without it. Sorry I didn't update before going to sleep! My experience is somewhat limited with android stuff.

link2sd makes its way into the conversation, because for some reason, I'm sure it was user error, I was still running out of space with CT2.X, so I was wanting to make sure that didn't happen. Once I saw that I had the entire sd-ext for data, it was unnecessary.


Now... can anyone tell me why the time shows correctly in the date/time settings, or if I go to the clock app, but the display in the upper right shows 7 hours ahead? E.g. it is 10 am here right now, and the display shows 5pm.

you can manually lock the screen by pressing the power button =p

when you press it again it will go straight back to the call, no sliding or any shit like that.

Weird, after a restart, the time zone setting was set to GMT. Turned off automatic to select PST, then turned it back on, and looks good now. Then we lost service here (both my wife's phone, which I haven't messed with, and mine), so it is probably due to a network issue, and not the modifications.

Nope, nothing with the EQ at all. I've actually never used any type of EQ with my Prevail.
 
As long as you and the people that are using it can tell the difference and enjoy it , that's all that matters . Personally , I like the EQ. HEH , if I really wanna jam , I'll go crank up the Pioneer . :D:p:D
 
I am still getting the press unlock to unlock during phone calls. I just updated to ctmod 3.3. Any ideas?

Update: It doesn't seem to happen every time & seems to only happen on outgoing calls.

Update: Reflashed the ROM & everything is good.
 
I'm absolutely thrilled with this rom... Solved ALL of the issues I had with previous versions (mainly bt connectivity and STT) and it's incredibly quick... Kudos Bloodawn, Kouma, and everyone else who made this happen.. Your hard work is much appreciated....

I'm glad everythings working for you

I wanted to get back to the stability the late 2.0's had and I think this version does that if not more so
 
Anyone else ever have this problem? When I disconnect my headphones from the phone, the phone goes to my call history. Then when I hit the home button to go back from the call history screen the phone just automagically starts calling the first person on my call history list... very odd problem, but it happens regularly to me.

I sure am glad that the screen lock during a phone call was removed, because at least now I can hit the end call button in time to not really send the call. =P

that happens with the stock FA19/EJ06 rom's too, dunno what causes it.
 
I just wanted to throw it out there as I play with 3.3. Thanks Bloodawn for this kickass rom and to Koumajutsu for letting you use the kernel.
