Eris to v2.x, when?

There's also a really bad force close loop if you try to go into Astro and use the gallery to pick a wallpaper for your phone! :( I had to hit home instead of backing out, then uninstall the gallery to get back into Astro without the force close loop.

I reinstalled. When I know what bugs there are, I can work around them. I just didn't set the gallery for default anything, so I choose the regular-came-with-the-phone thing when I want to do something other than look at pics. The gallery is awesomeness though! :)
 
So I just updated...went into the market, and none of my previous applications showed up.

Am I missing something?

Two things to try.
1) check your notifications to see if your sign-in failed.
2) reboot the phone - nothing fancy, just turn it off and on.

Most, but not all, of my applications showed up right away, however I had done both of the items above before I checked.

yeah your apps lol


you have to redownload and install them again, paid apps may be different story im not sure about them but all free apps must be reinstalled from the market and some won't show up until verizon officially declairs eris having 2.1 in market i believe.
 
I am still having the silent dial issue...It seems to occur after I have received an email update or a voice mail, but it happened again today...went to go dial...very lagging to no response keypad when the numbers show up and send shows the call being made, shows the person, the person on the other end is receiving the call but no sound from either end, I am not able to hear my own voice over the speaker, they can't hear me, I hear not ringing during the call..as mentioned they can't hear me but the call does show up and they answer....dead air between both connections. I have downloaded from the correct site a second time and yes I did it correctly did not unzip...The franks and beans didn't get out of the can;;; ;-) HEY POPS COULD USE A LITTLE HELP DOWN HERE!!! What version of Sense are we running? Are we already at 2.5?

This just started happening to me earlier where it looked like the call had been placed but neither one could hear. I just restarted my phone and it fixed it for now. I havent had any issues till then and haven't had any since.

DO NOT Un-ZIP the ZIP File!

When you put it on your SD Card, it has to remain with the .zip extension

In other words, copy the whole .zip file to your SD card then follow the directions.

This is the third time in three days; it seems to be after I received a voice mail or an email update or both, I haven't been able to pin that down yet. Turning it off and on fixed it each time, but not as a permanent solution.

Had this problem several times the other day. Did a hard reset (for that, and other reasons) haven't had it since
 
Well, I just had two voicemails and I was able to make a call a few hours afterwards. But it still happens to me, I just can't figure out what it is I'm doing to make it happen.

Hard Reset w/ 2.1 I hate to say this cause I'm gonna get shot by dead kittens...How do you hard reset in 2.1 or hard reset period? My other devices had the little pin hole push thing..does the eris? I couldn't see one.
 
I did do a copy of my SD card from a thumb drive; deleted the PB00IMGzip, formatted the sd card, re-downloaded the PB00IMGzip, copied to the formatted sd, reloaded on the phone and it loaded just a little different, cleaner seems like; then I scanned my copied sd file and I am now copying it back to the phone...I will know in a day or so.

menu>settings>privacy>factory data reset

Some web pages load up a bit small (no big deal), but the main issue is on 1.5, there was an option to only sync "My Contacts" instead of "All Contacts." Anyway to do that here? This way when I send an email the email address doesn't automatically save to my contacts.

If you still need to know: End/send at the same time and go to recovery.

hmm... that is a good one. I missed a call and received a voicemail, I tried to call back and you know the rest. I wonder if it has something to do with that. Well fortunately it hasn't happened again as of yet.
