Root plague ZVD wifi/hotspot issue.

Ok so i bet you guys noticed that there is a wifi issue with the new plague kernal, well the wifi tether doesnt work either... is this something that we can manually fix like doing a rom restore or something or is this something that the devs have to fix?

you dont need to make another post when there is one in place already, if you read the original post from PG he is already working on it.
 
he didnt post when i made this or atleast i didnt see it and also was just trying to see if i could fix it myself by messing with the settings.

it was a modules thing, so you prolly couldnt have fixed it unless you can compile kernels n modules. ;)

Its fixed now tho :cool:

yeah i know man seriously its not like its annoying seeing a new forum post... and its not like im wasteing their time.. its my time i spend to type a new forum post not theirs.. their just wasting time posting on it, not my problem
 
No, the way you are saying things on here is actually quite rude TBH. Now, he used common sense as he DID state that there was no updated posting about a fix being in the works at the time of the OP or at least he did not see it. Plain and simple. Ugh, Internet Tough Guys on here... makes me want to just stay on AI as their moderator LoL. Now, even if he knew about the updated posting on PGs thread then yes it wouldn't have been too smart of him but that doesnt mean that you need to come into this thread and be rude about it. Just report the post and go back to the other thread LoLLoL. And totally forgot to mention this I believe, I am not talking about him not using common sense because according to him he did not see the thread updated with the posting, I am talking about how rude your post was following his OP.

This is why I NEVER flash a ROM until all the bugs are worked out. Unless Im asked to test. I love messing with my phone and trying new stuff but aint nobody gonna buy me a new phone if I brick it. :D So for me I would rather wait, plus I've got ZVB on super status right now with zero problems so it will take a a lot for me to switch.

Plus I work like a red headed step child so my time to tinker is limited BUT if you got the time to mess with it hell go for it. :P

ALSO. What I would do if I were you, minor problems like this I would post under the THREAD for the kernel or Rom you are asking about. That way if someone has the same problem a month from now they will see the soultion within the thread for the kernel or rom because your thread you made is prolly LONG GONE. See what I mean? It keeps questions and problems all in one place along with potential answers and fixes which makes it easier for other people who have future problems. :D Make sense? Just a suggestion.

Alright sorry also thankyou:D... Yeah i like to wait sometimes to after a rom or something comes out ive bricked my nook before and god was that hard to unbrick lol and it was my first time using android and rooting :o.. worst experiance ever...

Nothing to apologize for dude. Just sharing suggestions. I learned the hard way how strict this forum is. I'd rather have it that way because it keeps the point of a forum the main point.

Another suggestion off topic to this one. In general Whenever you have a problem or question do your research first. Its a forum so hundreds of questions have been asked. If you can't find your answer or are unclear about something then pursue it further. I mean you can ask as many questions as you want that have been answered a million times before BUT you are more likely to get help from more people if you've shown to make an effort in your question instead of having everyone else do your searching for you. Make sense? Makes it all flow better. Lol

Just trying help you get the most out of AF with as little headache as possible. This place is amazing and I'm sooooo thankful for it but they are strict and it does take some getting used to of how things work and how people work around here. That's why i try to give back as much as i take and keep my mouth shut lol. Which can be very hard but this place has definitely helped me take the high road more often. Lol :D

And if you ever have a question you need a quick answer for, pm me and I'll try my best.

Anyways I'm done rambling. :)

Agreed.

I try to be smart about it when reporting because this is text and not spoken words so sometimes it's hard to distinguish sarcasm or jokes. But most of the time it's obvious.

Nook is the easiest device to unbrick lol... just use SD Card. It works like a charm but bring your first Android device and bricking it mauve made it hard definitely
