Why not try taking the miui camera from the monster or does the camera in cm7 have some crazy tie with the kernal (like how the theme Chooser is)
 
Yeah, definitely need to update the kernel+recovery package. Gotta be the only reason why my install never ****s up. I'm always using the latest kernel and recovery.

Yeah, there's an issue with the APNs. I can get metropcs to show up on my phone, just need to integrate the fixes into the build tree and build a new zip. Might just release a small patch zip, dunno yet. Gonna watch South Park for the time being.

Alright take your time you deserve a little time off i went ahead and update my market and it worked so here guys if you have problems with downloading apps from the app market here is the latest version of the market

Well I'm going to give this all a shot tomorrow after everything downloads on my phone and copy it to the respective places after I put the ext4 pm her SD card... I think she can live without the camera seeing she already doesn't have mom's working right being I screwed myself in the beginning when I didn't back up her stock rom before ... now it will be mandatory on any phone I make changes so crucial too... thanks again requisite0, you've really been at it to bring the admirers a good wholesome cm7 port... I'm so proud of you son! :D:p

mmssms database is corrupt so maybe thats what the problem is ill try to see if i can find a stock one switch it out and see what happens
 
the link to goo wont let me download gapps, just keeps reflashing to the timer before the link pops up..

nevermind.. its almost 3am n im an ass.. just seen ajamie123's post w the link..
 
i cant add my gmail account to my phone.. when adding accounts, i add email/password, then it says something about ssl certificates and stuff, then i get an error saying it cant connect.. browser doesnt want to conect either.. if someone can email me how to get this working, please do, as now i lost my tether ability and only means of wifi..
 
Ok, I followed the instructions to the T, except before installing A5, I installed A2, booted, flashed A5 and then GApps. Everything seems to be running fine, except the digital roaming I am in. I went in and set it to CDMA only, and to only use Home networks so that I can essentially never enter roaming. My first question is am I actually roaming or is it a data issue? I am on Ntelos.

My second major issue is that even though I installed GApps, I was never prompted to log in, and regardless, I followed the guide to manually install Play Store and when I go to open it, it flashes a screen before closing, and the one it flashes is the force close prompt.

On a side note, when I flashed the updated CWM, it was in the original large font. After rebooting, it changed to the smaller font. Not sure what that means, but it happened, lol
 
im not able to leave digital roaming, the phone seems to not have a network,tho data services are there it doesnt show it being on the metropcs network.
i was also able to sync my account, contacts, google play, all that. google play worked fine after a minute,was able to download instagram but not use it due to camera break.
good work so far, i know youre soooo close to nailing this
 
In the "mounts and storage" section, does /data and /system need to be mounted again after installing gapps? When it installs it, it mounts /system and then unmounts it again.

EDIT: Somehow I managed to get Play Store to open without crashing, but when prompted to add an account, it just closes and goes back to the homescreen O.o
