call me naive, but I am thinking we are going to hear some more buzz around the Incredible following the gdgt party in Austin a week from today. One of the listed sponsors of the event is HTC

You guys move too fast, I can't keep up. But i thought it was really great how they said the Incredible is the Nexus one on VZW...and the N1 will be sold only be google, which is what I've been thinking this whole time. Maybe this google training session Kappy originally brought up is actually for the Incredible.

True, true, or it could be just customer service training. They have been talking about that around the web. Custmer service training makes logical sense right?

As far as I know the only support Tmobile gives the N1 is to transfer people to Google or HTC. Do you really need training for that? Its possible Verizon will offer more support for the N1 then Tmobile. Maybe its really training for Android 2.1 in general due to the Incredible? That way theoretically they could offer basic support for both phones.

Could be, makes perfectly good sense. Maybe VZW has certain standards or ways they want customer service reps, people in the stores, etc to handle questions about the N1 or possible issues that people may come into the stores or call about with. I don't know, was just a thought. I guess we'll know when it is released.

Seriously? Its coming out April 1st? You don't see that you're setting yourself up for disappointment waiting for a phone to launch on April's Fools day?

" With the Eris going end of life on the 1st and information from our source the Incredible is expected to launch around that same date."

So, not the 1st but around that date maybe.

The latest rumors seem to be a consensus of this board.

The N1 to VZW,
Incredible to replace Eris.
N1 in stores: don't count on it. That probably comes from my source at VZW.

Not happy about that, though.

So do I, but I'm the one who knows what April 1st is though.;) But don't tell me you never feel the fool when you see how your tax dollars are spent sometimes.

the taxes are more important to me than April fools I guess, however I wish they weren't lol and yes friggin' all the time!

I still have not seen one in person or even seen someone talking/walking around with one.

Speaking of agree? I agree with you. HOW THE HECK DO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE MAKING A 200 - 550 DOLLAR PURCHASE OUTRIGHT WITHOUT TRYING SOMETHING FIRST? FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!!

The reviews are mediocre to good. There have been a ton of sofware and connectivity issues. There are issues with the multi-touch. There are considerable customer service issues.

TAKING ALL THAT INTO CONSIDERATION, YOU (GOOGLE) ARE ASKING ME TO BUY SOMETHING OF THAT PRICE RANGE SIGHT UNSEEN? (I think Google needs to go back on their meds.) ;)

Yeah well that's just how I am. I like to try something out, test it, that sorta stuff before buying. Some of the people on here and stuff don't care. They are REAL tech savvy and know what they want and what their plans are and stuff. I'm just not that way.

I'd never blow that kinda change without trying though. So yeah I'm def. with you!

Do you know what T-Mobile is doing with the N1? Is it nothing? I wasnt sure if people were buying it off of pure hype or if there were demo's in the store. I understand Google is trying to separate the carrier from the phone, but without giving consumers the ability to touch and see with their own eyes what the phone is like, sales will hurt.

Yes, sales have already been hurt, which is why Goldman-Sachs downgraded the sales projections of the N1. They sited these same issues.
