My phone get boot looped into cwm, firts the LG logo and them just the cwm mode and I press the "reboot system now" and nothing still boot looped cmw ....

Every time I attempt to do a back up, it freezes. It never freezes at the the same place. Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

No dice, still freezes at backing up data after clearing the cache.

I had those same random freezes trying to do a nandroid backup and after unfreezing any apps I froze with titanium backup it hasn't given me any trouble since. It may just be a coincidence but thought I'd share.

I have a ?....after rooting my phone successfully the only problem i ran into was if I shut my phone off...when I turn it back on all the apps that I put on my home screens are gone...I put them back on and the next morning they r gone again..they will not stay on my home screens...they go right back into where the apps are...y is this happening???...its crazy!

This option has not worked for me. I hope we can get a working recovery soon though. It'd be nice to have a nandroid back up and a way to flash back to it in case stuff goes sour

I ran into this problem again on a friend's connect and I found that if I kept trying repeatedly it eventually worked. It took me several tries doing nothing different. It can be a little flaky but if you really want the backup just keep trying and it should eventually work. As far as why this is I can't be certain. Also make sure the battery and free space on the card are good. I would delete the failed attempt and reboot into CWM and clear the cache between attempts. Be patient. It has been working for people, just doesn't always.

Ok I'll give it another go, it just seems like a whole lot of effort for something as simple as making a nandroid back up.

Edit: Looks like I'm eating my own words here, I went in like you suggested and deleted all of the old CWM files that were on my sd, I then re-installed CWM, went into it (only using the soft keys) wiped dalvik(sp?) cache, backup and restore, made a backup, and presto! it worked!! first try! it just worked, I can't explain it but it works. So it looks like now I've got a fully working CWM! I must apologize for my doubts, I never would've thought just by deleting the old CWM files on the sd that CWM would work like that. I thought that when you pushed the files over from the flash that they overwrote the ones that were already there. I guess that's what I get for assuming. Anyhow thanks a lot for helping me to get CWM working on my device!! :D

just ordered my Connect 4g, this is going to be the first thing I do to it ^_^ I cant wait. its replacing my trusty Admire. :)

Worked fine as it should(i rooted and removed bloat...no cwm as i dont need this). I only wish it would also remove: Rhapsody, @pp Store(metro app store), Loopt, Visual Voicemail, WiFi Cast, Weather, and myMetro.

Is their any particular reason those apps arent in the uninstall list? Id manually remove them if i knew for certain they arent going to cause issue(i know Rhapsody can be removed fine, though i havent done this myself yet).

Is the "bloatware incinerator" basically what im asking for markolo25? Having the option to choose what bloatware is uninstalled with the addition to more/all the bloatware available to uninstall would be sweet...I'm feeling too lazy to terminal it up and don't like being the guinea pig as to what will remove without consequences.

Idk if its different but I froze all of those apps and my phone has had no problems. I didn't delete them. I just froze them so they don't run.

Will be included in the next update, maybe the new Cwm to be included ^_^

was just curious, plan to do it just as we talked about, root, then download rom manager and install it from there.
