Root [MOD]CRT Animation[Beats Roms][Updated 4/20]

Not blaming the rom here and even tried 3g scripts from one of the other threads on here. I think has something to do with the zvc/zv4 update not letting me get 3g speeds in certain areas. Even tried the stock zvc rom and same results so no i wasn't blaming the rom at all. Just glad to know that I dont have a defective unit and at least one other has the same issue

Not trying to be crass but why wouldn't you blame the rom? If I was getting great speeds, flashed a new rom and immediately had poor speeds-I might think it had something to do with flashing that rom. I understand recommending that he should try to re flash but if he is still getting the same results afterwords, why wouldnt he ask about the rom. I think you forget that not everyone has the knowledge you have about Android and when they download and flash your rom they do so not knowing every single change from their previous setup. Hell maybe YOU arent even certain that something in your rom may affect the speeds. I dont mean to come across like a dick about this-its just when I read your post above with the "YOU" in all caps, it pissed me off. I took it as you saying "dont question anything I did, do what YOU know how to do(which isn't much you stupid asshole." Now I know that's a little extreme but you catch my drift. Thats not the kind of attitude to have. It seems to me that you work hard on your stuff and everyone here seems to appreciate and respect it. These are the grateful people who donate to you. Dont get offended when someone questions you, we aren't all devs. Remember that. I apologize if I offended you. Just my opinion and im crazy.

Not sure if this is directed at me or not, but I never blamed the ROM for anything. I was just asking if you ever noticed anything like what I am experiencing and if you know of a fix. I can try a new PRL, and i have not installed the 3G Turbo Boost because someone was saying the scripts don't work after a reboot and you have to do them again. In any case the phone stock alone I would think can do better than 35kbps and what makes this situation odd to me is that My UL speeds are faster than My DL speeds. Just know I am not saying this is your ROM's Fault!

Glad you have working 3G. I am pretty sure even though it shows the 3G icon I am only getting 1x Speeds. I mean 35kbps.. Doesn't make sense. Well explains why I can rarely use Pandora w/o WiFi. Suppose nothing else I can do though. Haven't seen a fix, and I cannot send my phone back to Boost w/o taking it all back to stock everything which could take some work.

EDIT:I just ran speedtest again and even better than I expected for 3G:

U wouldn't get data on 1x. Only phone and SMS

I also have no scripts running on my
Phone.

Try restoring a backup and see is its better. Other wise complain to boost that since the update you get mediocre speeds
 
Just so it shows I was using 3G I took the test again and cropped the screen shot better lol, my bad. (I also have no scripts running. As i said before I was told by Apache or TTR cannot remember who, that those 3 speed tweak scripts do not run on boot, and you have to run them every time you reboot. To much work if ya ask me lol.)

Figures after I speed tested my WiFi my Comcast modem is out.. Well the tethering could come in handy.. Here is my error:

Well looks like with the new update boost/sprint killed my 3G at work and half a mile in all directions :banghead:

Well I tested mine last night and my speeds were like I said Dial Up coming in at 35kbps down and for some odd reason 412kbps up. Tested it again today and after testing it now I am getting:

Weird stuff. I am fairly certain it's this zvc/zv4 update that's doing this because I used to average 1000kbps with my prevail, transform ultra and preupdated marquee at work. Tried both monster and blood roms. Oh well only place that I'm affected is at work. So guess I won't be on the phone too much now at work lol

Haha yeah that is a bummer. This is off topic, but you ever notice when you go to settings>applications>manage applications>running services you see "Update Device" is always running... If it is updated why does this need to run?

Please oh please put in the red theme also I have friends one with the galaxy s2 and the other with the atrix who are jelly because of the animations the red theme has that they never seen before crt would be icing in the cake....

As long as it means I do not have to redo the themes in the kitchen i will most likely be adding The BT fix from the crtv2.zip and the crt animation as well to all my themes. I just have to make sure I have the instructions right and can get the crtv2.zip from Monster.
