MIUI is my favorite yet!!

Lol kinda like it
I use font installer root anyways for everything else

I bought the app Absolute System Tools for Root Users a long time ago and it's has all kinds of options. Fonts, bootani's.... even comes w/ a terminal emulator. lol Changing fonts/boot animation is a breeze with that app. . :D

Hey guys. Anyone getting some lag from the drop down? It started last night when I was playing around with the themes and now it takes a few seconds to drop after I try to pull it down. Gonna re-flash the whole darn thing starting with Odin right now. IT'S MAKIIN ME ILLLLLLL! lol

UPDATE: Installed fresh copy of beta 3, wiped card, wiped dalvik and cache (not really needed but did it anyway). Rebooted and no more drop down lag. Something I did last night (themes probably) caused it.

UPDATE: heh, now market is gone. Re-flashing ROM now. (that'll fix er up)

It's back.:p

Anybody else getting reboots when updating apps in app store?

I hit update, it starts downloading, then installing then instead of getting usual
open/uninstall options the damn thing reboots. When it comes back up I have a
notification saying said app updated successfully.

On the Ubuntu thing... I've played with Linux only a little bit, and always had a problem with Ubuntu and wireless. Always required jumping thru a bunch of hoops. Mint is a Ubuntu distro and wifi has always been painless on several different computers I've put it on.

Mint just plain works in my limited experience.

Update on the app update thing. Thought it might be just a gapps thing but Amazon app store doing it too. Got 3 updates ok 4th rebooted at end of install.
Apps install ok initially, haven't had any issues there.

Didn't get the update successful notification after the Amazon reboot, hope I didn't trash my Tapatalk

On this new Flash player, I think I've got 10.2 or 10.3 should I uninstall that first before I install 11?

I would if I were you. If not you will have 2 versions. I do not think that these will update one another. They've been modified.

I might look at that one. Have tried getting the boot anis included with the themes to work a little be messing with that later. Probably just need to move the file to the right spot lol. Do have some lag on pull down, when my alarm goes off in the morning and when receiving a call. Min is set at 320. Been super busy everyone starting to turn A/C on!

Absolute System Tools is the easiest way to install bootanis. LOL, just pick one from the huge list that they have and apply it. Fonts are the same way. Look at the app...... it has a file browser, app manager, bootanis, fonts, terminal emulator, ad blocker, build.prop editor and several more all included in the one app. . The fonts and bootanis by themselves are worth the money for the app. :D

Yep, friend of mine had exact same issue with wireless and to quote him verbatim "I had to go through 6 levels of hell for it to connect and when connected it was crappy":trytofly: ...I am in process right now of clean installing mint on my spare laptop...I had a dual boot, but am wiping everything and turning it into a complete linux machine!!:D It was smooth and..............:alberteinstein: connected!!!
Thanks for everyone's tips....you guys are great:thumbup:

O

Is anyone else experiencing lag? If so please (if you know) explain what was done before lag happened and if still getting it....Gathering up some info......

I have been half following this thread.

Any chance of reworking the first post to include a traditional 'release' page or starting a new thread for us late bloomers?

Well i don't think it is really lag i am getting just my launcher keeps closing i think not fc but closing
and its not all the time just when i go from app to app to app lol

Scratch that i figured out what it was my Advanced task killer was closing it causing it to have to launcher the launcher

I'm back! Sorry for the delay folk but hope to get something out this weekend update wise. I also have something big in the works that you all will enjoy I'm sure of it. The lag seems to stem from framework and systemui issues. Been a hectic week so havnt kissed the puter in a while but we gonna make up (if my wife doesn't mind) ;)

Just flashed this today. Have not had much time lately to play with phone. But....

This is awesome. And I don't even know how to use it yet. Lol.
