Help re plaez help me get icecream sandwich

I wish it was that easy. Nobody has it on a Connect yet. It is likely to get ICS, but I doubt it will be really soon.

okay thank u is the lg connect newer than the lg esteem just wondering because i just got it i couldnt decide i hate 2 do anyminymity moe type it was a hard decission

The connect is newer by a few months. The esteem is preferred by some for the slightly larger screen, more internal storage and HDMI while others like the connect for the dual core processor, double the ram and nova display. It comes down to personal preference. I've seen them compared a few times in the forums.

I am wondering what typing has to do with ICS. There are many different keyboards available to use that pretty much work on any Android. SWYPE is already built in to the Connect. Also give SwiftKey a look. Then there is the Gingerbread keyboard from the market that seems to be the best for battery life.

What exactly would the benefit be with ICS on a smartphone as opposed to a Tablet ? In other words why would you want to get ICS on your Connect 4G ?

Better all around performance. Exclusive applications (youtube chrome .ect) its multitasking improved. The whole thing is skinned very nice.

There will be a time in the not so distant future where you will need ICS to be able to run some new apps. Chrome is the only one I can think of right now, but there will be more.

+1 ics is not just an improvement for tables. It greatly improves performance and the entire ui is smoother. I honestly can't consider going back to 2.3
You'll see :)

One thing that has not been mentioned between the connect and the esteem, well the connect can do voice and data on 4G while the esteem cannot unless your on wifi which means ur not on 4G anyways.

Does this mean that you can check something on the Internet or view received Email Images while on a call on the Connect ?
