Eris to v2.x, when?

I believe it was on phandroid..... I know it was on another forum but there are people claiming that they got the 2.1 pushed to their phones. Has there been anyone else that has heard any of this? They are not talking about the leak.

I haven't heard anything, and don't have anything popping up on my phone (though I am running 2.1 already). Do you have a link so we can read it too?
 
Have anyone tried to use thier google voice yet ? well mine dont dial the routing number to my google voice it skips the alternet number and just dials out the number direct. I changed all settings to ask, direct, and international and it still dails wrong, and body else have this problem with eris 2.1

Yep. Having that same problem. There was a suggestion and a link for going back . to 0.2, but that didn't work for me. I think I'm just going to sit it out and hope that the "real" OTA solves it....

I would like to know if the battery life is improved. I am thinking about getting the 3500 mAH extended battery, but I was going to wait until the OTA of 2.1 and see if there will be any battery improvement.

Mine seems about the same, but I've been playing with it throughout the day, so it could be better. I'll post an update if I do notice anything significant.

I want to say the battery life is worse but then again I am using it like crazy so maybe once the new fad of 2.1 goes away or I get used to it everything will be the same. My theory is you just need the phone to last you from the time you un-plug it till the time you get home to plug it back in. If not most of us are still around a computer always just plug it in during work or the day in the charger? most of us get the phone to last from morning till night.
 
The battery isn't much better. May be a little better but nothing too dramatic. If you're thinking of getting the extended battery I would get it because you won't really see any difference.

Yeah not a dramatic improvement but better. Not gonna last like that 3500 mha batt though. If you need it get it. Phone should last forever on that thing.
 
I have a question about the 2.1 leak.

Can I still turn off the SenseUI and run the standard Home after I install the 2.1 leak? Also, if that is possible, will 2.1 standard Home also be snappier and less laggy than the 1.5 standard Home? Any help appreciated.
 
Sense is nothing more than an "app" on the phone. You can't remove it, like many of the pre-installed HTC/Google apps, but you certainly don't have to run it. So yes, you can turn it off.

Yes I was referring to just running Home instead of Sense. Sorry if I made it sound like I wanted to remove it. However I will be doing that when root comes :D
 
Ya I don't like all the other replacement home apps, I just stick to either Sense or Home. I think I'm going to make the update to 2.1 in a few minutes :D
