Root [Rom][MetroPCS][Sprint] MetrogenMod 4.5+ KelsogenMod 4.5 (2-21-12)

ok guys i am on Mikg 3.1.1 stock kernel and i like it alot. But can't get mms working. it was working before on metrodroid 2.2 but not now. I have edited my apn's 3 different ways cause there is so many guides out there but none work. I wiped and did everything according to above posts. is there one definitive settings for apn for metropcs? if so which/where? i have also tried sms pro and still no luck.

I just completed the guide without any issues. I took the flashed EVO down to my local Metro PCS and the woman said they don't activate rooted phones. She referred me to another store, but it's a bit further away.

Is this typical? Do I just need to say the right thing? She of course tried to sell me a "similar" phone which was $299.

Note that I would be a new customer. I've never had a metro account. I considered buying a really cheap phone from them and then some how switch that number over to the flashed evo. Not sure if that would be possible.

She didn't sound like she really knew what she was talking about...but neither do I. This is my first time rooting and flashing a phone, so some if the terminology is new to me. PRLs, etc.

If your EVO is already flashed to metro you can just get the cheapest phone so you can open a metropcs account and then just dial *228 from the EVO and say switch phones (or press 2) and follow directions.
prl - preferred roaming list - as long as you update it you will be getting more signal in more places. Right now I am on 3028 the newest one

Out of the box mms? Not really. Google 'metrodroid v4'

First off, thank you! This rom is sweet. I just flashed my evo to metro last nite and this is the fist rom I've tried. everything is running smooth.
