lg connect feels so cheap

moto wins hands down body/casing wise. But moto, LG, and HTC all have comparable models spec-wise to anything samsung has too. Any manuf can come out with the badest device yet.. problem is very few stay in that spot for long lol. The Nexus came out and a week later moto topped it with the razr, and then again with the razr maxx. All great phones, I.m not saying samsung doesnt have good stuff, but they feel cheap lol.

IIRC the DroidX held the top dog spot the longest of any device ;) It was just hurt by the locked bootloader and the godawful froyo blur, GB blur wasnt nearly as bad, but any overlay like that sux IMO. lol

If the connect was bigger, I would contemplate it MAYBE after my Esteem dies..................if it dies.

But Im not gonna get rid of the Esteem just to get the Connect regardless if ANYONE thinks it's better. What would be the point? lol

yea the connect is nice, but not nice enough to go out n buy one if you have an esteem already.
 
This thread cracked me up lol.. If I were going contract I'd probably get an iPhone.. They are better then Android.. Lol jp I wanted to drop some jaws ;) in all honesty I stick with the one that has the best community.. And hands down for metro this is it..

well i have to do my part so..

its only a mattet of time before the connect gets official ics and a larger community. metro doesnt seem to plan on releasing high end 4g phones til the end of this year so the connect has some time to flourish and eventually you all will switch over when u realize the esteem cant run things like the connect can hahaha :P

Hello. I noticed that the price was reduced on the connect and not esteem. Why do you think that would be? Also, my esteem is always rebooting itself every three days. Should I be worried?

The phone isn't selling, so they discounted it hoping to boost sales.

What version are on you? zvd should take care of that.
 
well ive heard from ALOT of people and different stores and from lg article that the connect will get ics update

on every other carrier that has a variant of it possible, on metro forget it. ;)
 
i bought an esteem shortly after it came out, it was $320 i believe. it was ok for the first 2-3 weeks before it started messing up. the metro store told me it was the sd card causing the problems. -.- then i found out about the ZVD update here. told the same store about the update and got a really surprised look from them. so they printed out the instructions and told me to do it at home because they didnt want to be bothered with it. got home, followed the instructions to a "tee" and ended up hard bricking the phone, wouldnt turn on at all. so i had to drive about an hour away to a corporate store and told them the situation, they replaced it for free, and installed the ZVD update. same problems came around after 4 days, so i then rooted, installed the plague kernal, oc'd to 1.8ghz, and had no problems for the following 3 or so months i had it. then i went into rom toolbox pro and set a custom boot screen, to have it soft bricked. couldnt restore to factory defaults so i went out and got a connect. 2 days after the purchase, i open up CWM recovery on the esteem and restore to a previous working rom. im still using the connect. my point? even with the esteem rooted, and overclocked, the connect is far better IMHO. i did a quadrant benchmark test on both phones. rooted oc'd to (turned up for the test) 2ghz esteem, and a stock connect. somehow the connect still got a better score than the esteem. now i lie in wait, for the plague kernal to be fine tuned for the connect. ^.^

Lmao@connect getting 4.0 just cause lg days there will be available doesn't mean MetroPCS will release it there was a few phones that we're suppose to be upgraded and metro never released it off it doesn't make money for MetroPCS they won't simple as that

Let the "connect kicks the esteems ass" and "the connect sucks and your high" posts commence.

Connect feels like a childs toy phone. Beyond that i don't know. If it feels like junk then i can't do anything with it. Yeah................:D
 
The connect feels so cheap they had to increase the price of the esteem cause it was doing way better than the connect. I'm going to buy a connect. Haha jk
