Root [Boost Mobile] Hroark's Warp Kernel Source

Well hroark wifi is back up i flahed your ROM THANK YOU! going to flash back to my ROM and see if its fixed too
Edit: just flashed .7 wifi is working so i think im all good now to run tje test with RapTurE see if it works with that
Edit: custom kernel is not compatible with RapTurE must be because its an unknown build in just guessing here but it seems like that might be the problem
 
perhaps this is a dumb question, but did you guys put a stock kernel up for us to flash back to? grin... probably should have found that before I flashed these test ones, right?... live and learn

nevermind, if I am reading correctly on the forum, if I do an advanced restore from my stock backup I can restore the boot to get the original kernel back, right?
 
Haha yeah well it seems everything works fine for me on stock but there seems to be a.snag in my ROM might be why themeing isn't working right and why wifi isn't working :/ well only thing i.can do is isolate the problem and try to fix it

Freeze ups with overclock, I used voltage control to turn it down to 1400, no lock ups yet after that change ... Another issue was vibrate got stuck on while I was typing, had to do a battery pull , maybe haptic got stuck, just a one time thing hopefully

I havent ever had an issue with it being unstable at 1.6 or even 1.7Ghz.... what version are you running? i think the .11 is more stable under overclock havent tried the .7 yet. as for haptic feedback i have had it happen a few time when long pressing on an item but never when typing. hitting the back button usually stops it

I was using the oc 7 hroark posted a few posts back, there isn't an 11 that I know of
 
I flashed this 1.6 kernel and couldnt boot past green android. I am on bo8c, only mods are the build.prop speed tweeks. Tried twice, 2nd time i factory resetted first and still no boot. Had to nandroid back.

I am running b08c, the only mod is root, and I have installed voltage control

I am not having any issues with booting

may be it is something in your build.prop

a bunch of posts back, I posted a b08c rooted rom for Apollo to test with


you can try installing that, and then test the kernels

I am only testing this stuff with the latest stock rom

I do not have time to test every possible configuration and rom people are using

We won't know until people test them it might be the case or something went settling inn my ROM which it can't be because even after the restore and fixing permissions the wifi still won't work
 
Im going to try the .11 oc kernel, if that doesent work ima roll back to stock bo8c and try again.

I honestly do not know how you can be making a ROM without a computer

did you start it on a computer ?

Listen, I have helped you quite a bit in these last two days, uploading roms and kernels for you, and such

you have sent me a lot of PMs, I even figured out why your Build version said unknown, edited the build prop for you and sent it back to you

I am all for people trying to learn this stuff, and I am willing to help people, but I am cutting off my help to you, until you get a computer to work with

You are not going to learn how to properly do this stuff without a computer


As far as the wifi issue with your ROM, i would say that is some bug with your rom and NOT my kernel

no one else has complained about wifi issues with my kernel, Shinru's wifi issue was with his kernel, and the mods he made

all this stuff is pretty new and bugs are to be expected, there are different people with different roms, with different tweaks, and different settings, and different hardware (like the LCD)

we are still in a testing phase

all the kernels I released are for testing

I have provided the exact rom I am using for testing, so people can compare results


Apollo, I am not trying to rant on you, OK your rom has a wifi issue, it has been noted, I do not need to see any more posts about it.

I am interested in seeing if anyone else, who is not using your rom, has a similar issue, and there has not been any so far

If someone does have a similar issue, then I would like you and them to compare notes, and maybe we can figure out what is happening
 
No thats is absolutly fine hroark youve been a great help and yes i think you are right im digging around and restored the stock kernal and still wifi was off im shutting rapture down until i have a proper computer to do my work on i appreciatr all the help you guys have gave me but this wont stop me from doing all these things i just need the proper equipment
 
I tried b08 with 3.6.35.7 oc, no problems now using b08c with 2.6.35.11 oc no problems, but my phone came b08 and iam going to go back to b08 using 2.6.35.11 oc try it honestly b08c doesnt feel as smooth (woodstocks b08c nandroid) HROARK :thumbup:

i have posted every version of the rom that is available in my return to stock thread


the only thing is it restores stock recovery too, but you can replace the stock recovery.img with a CWM recovery.img
