Wait... the Incredible has already shown up in Verizon's inventory. We heard about this a couple of weeks ago. Or am I mssing something here?

Showed up in their inventory system. I don't know if that means it is in Verizon warehouses or simply(and more likely) that the information was entered so stores know what to order when it is available.
I think its more akin to a store like Gamestop having a game's information in its system. Tt may not be out yet, but there is enough information to pre-order.

Right. You cant simultaneously ship an item and put it into the inventory at the same time. There wouldn't be any notice for store employees. Its a way of setting up the inventory system pre-ship date. You can have an item in the system with nothing in stock.

Tluv00, nice response post on that BGR news thread.

Thanks. It's easy to see how far behind the other sites are in comparison to AF. Gotta spread the word........of course the less amount of people in the know the less of a chance I don't get one when they drop :D

Ive got two other friends with a NE2 to use and they arent in to phones as much as I am and I have said little to nothing about the Incredible. I want a mental imprint of their faces the first time I casually pull it out for a phone call.

question for yins guys:

how is verizon when it comes to getting a major phone on release date.

i got the droid like a week or two after it was released so im not real familiar with how fast these phones might sell. Say I come in the day of or few days after, what are the chances i'll get my incredible

If we were in the midst of a holiday season I would say watch out, but I havent heard any shortages of Droids for example. A friend on mine walked in there a few days after it was released, thought it was cool, and bought one. I'd also say it depends on when its released and if VZW starts heavy advertising for it like the Droid.

Depends on how they advertise and how many units HTC ships. You could always order online. But they may not set a record for sales. If the Eris is still in stores when the Incred launches alot of know nothings will choose the Eris as it would be cheaper.

Just a FYI... not sure how much you guys can trust this but I can trust them since they are my friend. My buddy works at a independent Store and they have a meeting tomorrow about the HTC Incredible. He told me that he will have a availability date tomorrow and would call me back and give me info and put one on hold for me when they get them. Not sure if anyone else can call around to their independent store and see what they can find out.

Just wanted to reply to an earlier post about Netflix on the Incredible. Sorry to say it won't happen until SilverLight is supported on Linux. Netflix uses Microsoft's SilverLight for DRM and playback. Since Linux (Android is Linux) isn't yet supported in the official versions of SilverLight then it is a no go. I know about the Moonlight project but it doesn't support the DRM side of SilverLight. Sorry dude.

My appologies if this has already been posted (I didn't have time to make it through the thousands of posts since Friday).

If not, this is just another item to add to the list of things that likely mean absolutely nothing but are fun to speculate about.

Has anyone seen this on the verizon wireless site? Note "incredible" wording...

I'm going to quote this for posterity. :D

If true, it would be great, but we don't seem to have heard any similar rumblings anywhere else... When something this big is about to drop, there's usually simultaneous, corroborating reports from all over.

True, but I have been bugging my buddy pretty much every day to get me information on this phone when he gets it. He received a call today from his manager and was told there was a meeting tomorrow on the Incredible. Thats why I was asking other to call around to their independent stores to see if they are getting the same info. He just called me at 12:59PM EST.

I love this line from BGR... :D

DigiTimes has dug up an article featured in the Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News claiming that HTC has starting shipping the Nexus One to Verizon Wireless. The article goes on to say the N1 CDMA-variant will begin being marketed by Big Red this month with a release likely in April. Our take? What we
