Again, so we are crystal clear.

HTC was required to get it right as of the time of the judgment. They had until April 19th as a grace period.

They got it right before the LTEvo was announced.

Everything is in compliance.

HTC was never sneaking anything in.

Mark my words - when the final story comes out, you're going to find Apple lawyers as the cause of the customs delay.

Not the ITC, not customs, not HTC, not the LTEvo, not the software - Apple lawyers.

Great article. One of the things that stood out was this:
"While HTC One X carrier AT&T, Inc. (T) and Evo 4G LTE Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) have some stock of the new Android smartphones, hopes of strong sustained sales may have been crushed this week."

For those still hoping to get one Friday, maybe there's hope for a few of you. I didn't pull the Pre-order trigger until last week so I'm sure my phone is one of the ones being "reviewed" by ITC/Customs
And of course, I hate apple. All of its IP seems to reside in its legal department!
 
Somebody said here that their Sprint rep rumored that they had 16,000 of these babies sitting in their warehouse for the pre-orders.

If true, Sprint raked in $3.2 million, plus activations plus contracts as easy as falling off a log.

No way that they wanted this black eye getting in the way of doubling, tripling or more on that amount of easy money.

In my opinion. ;)
 
I'm up poop creek, just got a new assignment at work. I'll be working in west Virginia starting tomorrow, and I'll probably be forced to stay at or near the work sites. It'll be about 2 to 3 hours from home, so if they don't launch Friday or saturday, I'll be waiting until next Friday.

Oh well, I've waited this long, I can wait another week. ;)

I also stopped and talked with the sales Dood at BB. He told me that it has officially been delayed for the moment. Sales can still happen on Friday, if we're lucky. He told me to make sure I stop back in on Friday because if he can he'll give me one.

Hopefully the litigation mentioned above is deemed ludicrous and its terminated quickly. :)

I admire your idealism, but seriously, Congress? The legislative body with about a 3% approval rating that can't even tie its own figurative shoelaces in less than 6 months? I think you'd be better off just taking a deep breath and waiting for things to work themselves out. Like someone posted earlier, it's just a phone after all.

I am an administrator of a gl1200 board and do not yank chains.

I feel that with the approach I used with the rep I got a straight answer and these phones will be shipped and we will get the shipping notices. His exact words were between two to five days from today.

Whew, read that article, but more so tuned into the comments. If things go for Apple in the way ISheep are saying there almost embarrassed now having IPhone. I think this could really comeback to haunt Apple in the long run. I'm polishing EVO and holding my pre-order for LTEVO to do my part to protest. Holy Cow! Apple is paper tiger, they don't manufacture anything. If people revolt over this and sales drop, suppliers will too. IMHO.

Hey, Apple 90's is calling and its looking like Apple IIe rainbow days could be knocking!

What Awesome-Sauce that would be because Apple feared LTEVO (HTC One Devices)

in my case, they took my money and applied it to my account. I had a negative (positive?) balance since I pre-ordered. I assume that will switch over to the cost of the phone when (if?) it ships.

so, when I say you have my money and I have nothing, they can say "what you talkin' 'bout, Willis!" (my name is not Willis, which will only further enrage me!)

I apologize for the delay and I have a HTC elevate account, I mentioned it there and receive an email, pretty much saying after this shipping debacle get resolve to start the petition.
