I've been a lurker here and come to this thread almost hourly during my waking hours hoping to read about more confirmations, speculations etc about the upcoming Incredible but only now decided to post in this forum.

I know, unless Palm can pull a rabbit out of a hat with their Palm Pre 2 , that I will be switching to Verizon and getting the Incredible... and news of a Sling app has just about sealed the deal for me. It's one of the few things that my Palm Centro can do that an Android phone currently can't.

Since we're quoting from the comment section of phonearena, check out one of the follow-up comments to the quote posted by scott5626 before. Take it for what it's worth, but if true, it seems like more people at VZW are getting hands on experience with our Incredible:

I work for vzw as well and can tell you that the"equipment guide" pic had to be fake, cant find it anywhere in our system.
Good news for me though, today i got to play with an HTC Incredible....I know people here will say im lying, but whatever, anyways, the phone is freakin amazing, super fast, 8mp camera, super huge screen, android 2.1, never checked the memory, only had about 45 seconds to play with it....also, since i was supervised no pics.......oh and by the way, it actually feel the same weight as the eris, if not lighter..."


Hopefully this means we are indeed getting close to an announcement/launch!

there is no 768mhz snapdragon. there is a snapdragon running at 768mhz and going up as high as 1ghz when needed. its all the same snapdragon. only difference is whether it is gsm or cdma.

Maybe basic techniques, links to other websites to prolong lithium ion batts, and apps to download that could aid in this? Just a thought..

It seems this last week is going to be kinda rough until CTIA, it seems we have squeezed most of the specs/news from the Incredible sponge lol

same one as applies to the eris since the apps that drain your battery in the will be the same ones that will drain your battery incredible. otherwise i think it is safe to assume the power management unit will be much better than the one in the eris.

don't sweat it. once the incredible comes out or there is an update it will be added to the first post of this thread. makes it infinitely easier to see whats going on.
 
I will be completely heartbroken if there is no announcement at CTIA or by the 15th of April...i might need therapy...

i work for vzw..i don't think you'll have a problem getting it the day of release..most people don't even know about this phone...ppl knew abt the droid b/c of the major marketing campaign and it was during xmas time when ppl are shopping and still it was in stock...

Assuming theres no marketing for this phone - which I highly doubt. I mean, if it's going to be their next flag ship phone, you better believe VZW will drop a few dollars to make sure you see atleast one of their commercials about it.

No doubt vz is marketing hard core right now..spending $$$ on it...and this phone will be marketed as well..I am judging from the response we got from the moto droid with all the hype..we were expecting a bigger response..but it didn't happen...it'll gradually catch on..this forum (and others) are diff breed..lol..they know what they want and what's next..the masses don't...i think that makes us trendsetters???..shiiieewwttt better believe it. :cool:
 
Haha! No in-store N1 support, it appears! But it's undoubtedly coming to VZW sooner than the Incredible, IMHO.

EDIT: Oh, and in the "I-don't-want-to-get-your-hopes-up-but-I'm-going-to-anyway" department comes the following excerpt from a related article that I found while digging deeper in the above link:

A Launch at CTIA Is Possible
The CTIA tradeshow will be held in mid March. This is a popular venue for announcing new models, and the Incredible is a good possibility, considering the number of rumors about it that have been coming to the surface lately.

the way this country is going you might as well SUE THEM ALL!!! APPLE for delaying the release causing you mental anguish, Htc for falling for Apples BS causing you Mental distress and Verizon for theropy..... I figure the 3 will settle for 1.2 mil........ This is a joke but this does happen as you have heard about the "patent violation" lawsuit
