OK... I'm gonna share some feelings. Firstly, I appreciate your compliment. That said, I'm an older man and even though I'm moderately funny, I'm crotchety. I don't like BS. I like (or shall I say liked) it here.

If you all don't like humor, just let me know and I'm atta here. It doesn't matter to me. I'll get my phone and be just as happy as I was before I got here. Of course, I'll miss my new friends like Kappy and dozens of others. I just need to know if I'm considered one of the "bad apples." (Steven shakes his head.)

lol, if they haven't booted my @ss (yet) then you're good :D

Long time lurker...

Just for comparison's sake:

First...WOW, every emotion just went through me about the threads, and yes my eyes are bleeding again catching up since 3pm yesterday, but I still read everything from when I left off. That's my choice (I did scan through some long posts quickly..sorry Sigmond...lol) on how I wanted to keep up on the Incredible. I enjoyed most of the OT posts and I didn't some of them. I also had got crazy and anxious about people not reading and keeping up w/ posts (sorry again Rosend), but it didn't stop me from reading. I agree that those super really OT should have been suspended ( or told not to drink and post at the same time...JK). I don't agree that it should have been closed...

Sorry for my .02!

P.S. OT..that video is sick!!! I've seen bits and pieces and I knew that's what I want the Sense for...Wow again! Thanks Red Leader

Yeah, I'll probably get one of those silicone cases as well. I'll probably holster the thing too, at times.

I personally think cases are crap. I don't want some additional plastic to take away from the sleekness/beauty of my phone's original design.

Just my opinion.

Steve, I think that post was a compliment.

The only bad apples were the people who constantly added posts bitching about people adding posts that were not on topic, hence adding more shit to wade through. If those people didn't like it there they are free(and encouraged) to go someplace else. Kind of like someone in this thread complaining about 68 posts in two pages with very few pertaining to the Incredible. If you didn't like the old thread, why come to the new unofficial one and start complaining all over again?

Regarding cases, I saw some really cool cases for the Eris. I think they were Otter cases? Very low-pro, looked like they would keep the phone thin. I'm sure one will be out for the Incredible too.

I agree. I only like the silicone cases for toting in my pocket. They are easy to take on and off. Reason is:

One day with my iPod (it has one on) I took it out of my jacket and it slipped. The silicone case stuck to my finger as I moved my hand down to save it and I caught it. It was like some real Charlie Murphy :D spider man *hit. I was like  *phew*

If it would have been without the silicone case, that bad boy was face planting on the asphalt outside of my work lol

I think I might go for one of the invisible shields. From what I've seen they just add some glossy look to the phone.

Kappy,

Also check out Invisible Shield. It is great for complete phone coverage, so it might not be perfect for the back of the soft touch Incredible, but they also have screen protector options that seem completely scratch resistant.

So Invisible Shield + Seidio might be the route I go.

Well I have an ipod that I always keep in my pockets with my keys, and it doesn't scratch so as long as they have similar glass coating, i'm not worried about even using an invisible shield.

But I don't have near the disdain for invisible shields.

^^^ are they static type ones or do you have to wet the screen and all that? I want something that is removable and replacable if it gets fugged up.

ty... You know how you say something then regret it? Well, it looks like I am fishing for a compliment here, and i am not. As a crotchety older man, I put up my fists and readied myself for a fight ;). At my age, unwise. HowEVER, I have been weight training a LOT at the gym and could probably take you younger guys on! ;)

To keep on topic: Don't worry, guys, the Incredible is coming. Hold out. April/May is around the corner and well worth the wait, as it seems to me that this phone is a step beyond what is out there. I want it more than the iPhone (uh oh, I said the "I" word) ;) and more than the N1. :D

BRING IT OLD TIMER :D jk jk

Thats what I thought too but it would bother the hell out of me if I dropped it once and scratched the back. That lone scratch would piss me off. Best Skin Ever seems to get lots of good reviews and protects phones from scratches and its hardly noticeable. I may go with that.

Hey question, if this phone is shaping up to be VZW's next big shot phone, then we probably won't see anything else big time until when? Fall or later? They wouldn't realease a big time phone, then a month or 2 later another to compete with it would they?

Honestly, the phone isn't that big of a deal. They're actually losing money on the phone sale itself.

It's about the ARPU

Virtual arm wrestling sometime?

To keep this on topic....sorta

I think it is some special application process that they have patented (and Apple has sued them for lol)

I guess just look at when the Droid was released. That certainly qualifies as their last big phone.

i'm just gonna give a prediction here.

i'm saying the incredible will be released on April 13th.

if it is announced at ctia, that would give about three weeks until release which goes along with what others have been saying about verizon reps and their general three week rule.

No, InvisibleShields aren't static.

There's a solution that's used to put them on. It's not "sticky" but it helps the shield adhere and prevent bubbles.

VZW might not, but the Moto shadow was being rumored as the Nexus 2, so it may be available on Verizon's network, but only released by Google.

Newer technology may be available for VZW, just might not be from VZW.

I have used the Seidio holster for my last 5 phones. It really protects the phone well. I wear a dress clothes for my job and I like it clipped to my belt and not loose in my pocket. I also have to go to construction jobsites for my job and I get the added protction for the phone. I will probably have to wait a month or so after the Incredible comes out since Seidio won't start producing a holster for it until after its release.
