ATT hasn't said jack because you can't get a service contract through them (as of yet). Notice on google.com/phone you have to buy the phone unlocked to use on ATT service. NO $179 deal like T-MO
 
I think VZW has to know (or has something up their sleeve) Incredible info. is getting around and they are just letting the balloon fill up with more air until they take the official release "pin" and pop this balloon. It's getting nutty... I mean with all the other carriers making noise and releasing stuff (iPad pre-orders, T-MO and the HD2, ATT releasing new phones and "services" <even if they aren't anything special>, desire in the US last night, N1 now unlocked on ATT, etc) and VZW hasn't done or said a thing...


Anyone think the VZW N1 could end up release like this? No word no nothing, just shows up as available one day??

The back cover will be black. Underneath the cover, the phone will be bright red. HTC has been doing this lately - another phone they released (the HTC HD Mini) is yellow under the cover.


On another note:

I just watched this vid about HTC Sense - it's a great presentation, and will help those less familiar with it to better understand it's benefits.

Geeeezzzzz......a guy goes to Vegas for a couple of days and comes back to this!?!?! A closed thread, confirmed 1 ghz, and confirm 8 GB internal storage?!?!

Maybe I should go to Vegas more often, I have never felt so lucky to come back to this info.

None the less I think this is a great counter move by Google or at least the timing. You sue our hardware manufactures ... we'll release the direct competition on your network provider. :D
 
You know, looking at the rendering with the red back, like others have said, there should be other colors available, (maybe OEMs), but also, I would look for a back that is more like the Supersonic, or N1, (rounded). That would float my boat :)
 
I wonder how long AT&T knew of this, and how long Apple may have known....maybe this is what put the postage stamp on the HTC lawsuit.
 
^^^ could be. Maybe Apple is taking their stuff elsewhere so ATT was like okay, we gotta do something.. Maybe ATT doesn't even know yet hahaha.

I REALLY hope VZW has screen protectors in store for purchase on launch day. That is the first accessory I am buying lol

After looking at the back of the phone, I was convinced that I would only buy a screen protector or maybe a BSE. But now I'm leaning towards buying a case for the whole phone... I dont want to ruin the nice black backing.

Didn't want to post it here, but since the N1 has the same screen...have you seen the youtube video where the guy is scratching the hell out of the screen with a key and nothing happens?

I used to have a screen protector on my old storm, but found out with air bubbles and scratches to the screen protector itself, that it wasn't worth it. But...that is just my opinion. No scratches on the surface of mine at all, and that's with my wife confiscating it at times and throwing it in her purse. I would say that if the N1 can withstand that abuse, the Incredible will be able to as well.

Yeah, I'll probably get one of those silicone cases as well. I'll probably holster the thing too, at times.

I was originally one of the haters of the red back...after seeing that render I wish that was the release version. That thing looks sweeeeet!!

OK... I'm gonna share some feelings. Firstly, I appreciate your compliment. That said, I'm an older man and even though I'm moderately funny, I'm crotchety. I don't like BS. I like (or shall I say liked) it here.

If you all don't like humor, just let me know and I'm atta here. It doesn't matter to me. I'll get my phone and be just as happy as I was before I got here. Of course, I'll miss my new friends like Kappy and dozens of others. I just need to know if I'm considered one of the "bad apples." (Steven shakes his head.)
