None taken. My job sucks some times. haha On the plus side if I can get it before going into work I should have a lot of down time to play with it.
 
hope the rumored date is true. im sure this was mentioned in the old thread (came in late around page 122) but i read that the incredible will have 11 home pages to start with, which would make sense with the increased memory for apps.
 
Hell if it is the N1 coming out on the 27th I'd still wait, if all the specualtion about the incredible's specs are true then THAT is the phone I want on VZW
 
+1. on waiting for the incredible. rather wait the extra month then be locked into a 2yr contract with something i only got because i was to impatient to wait it out. like heinz....good things come to those who wait. lol

Yup, off the the next thread. I've done it before; I'll do it again.

Anyway, as much as I appreciate the mods, I will voice my opinion. That thread may have been off-topic, but I sure had a hell of a time reading everyone's posts. We talked about what we wanted, always keeping the Incredible in mind. It's almost as if we just need to start a 50 person skype call.

Looks like things are looking good though. I'm sooo excited for CTIA.
 
Yesterday I emailed Verizon customer service to ask when the Nexus One would be released. This was the response I got:

"I am sorry to report that we do not have any information on when the Nexus One will be released.

Unfortunately, Google will be handling the release of the Nexus One with Verizon Wireless, and we don't have any information on the timeframe that this device is coming to Verizon Wireless. Google did announce that it would be coming in the spring."

So if Google is handling the release of the Nexus One for Verizon, then maybe the big announcement next week will be that Verizon is releasing the HTC Incredible instead?

I saw a TMobile Rep with one..but didn't get to hold it. He showed me the browser function...it scrolled very fast. The thing that made the biggest impression on me is how much more attractive the phone was in real life versus seeing pics on the internet!

Guys, I know the whole bit about Verizon Store employees not knowing about what's coming...but I'm a little bummed about what I heard earlier today. 6 to 8 months/ December...is just too far away for me. I should be almost half way through a contract by then and looking to the next best phone. I really really hope the expectations of this thread are realized and we see the Incredible within or around the next 6 weeks. I sure wish one of our original rumor stars would come in with more information to back up the 27th rumor!!!:(
 
First time poster. Been lurking since page 50ish of the last thread. Hello Hello

OK so here is my thoughts with the release announcement. I do not believe for a minute that the release of the N1 will be getting any news what so ever. Look at the N1 and AT&T today. No one heard any news of it yesterday and today....BAM, AT&T has the N1.

I also believe that the article that came out yesterday about the "N1 shipping to Verizon" IS actually the Incredible. I keep up on tech news daily, and I have been for a long time. I do not remember once hearing anything about the N1 being shipped to anywhere from anywhere when it was released for T Mobile.

Now since Google is handling the N1 release for Verizon (I do actually believe this), than what other news could there POSSIBLY be about next week and announcements? Or this week and HTC reps, or this week and "special behind closed doors and Verizon employee meetings?

Just sayin

I Hope it's not released until July. That's when I get my 100.00 NE2.

If it comes out earlier I still get my annual upgrade, so I'll prolly' just say "screw my NE2 $100" and pick it up.

just kidding about not wanting it 'till July, it'll just make my decision harder if it comes out earlier

Yup, but we're still waiting for it

Imagine that, AT&T wasn't even on the waiting list and they got theirs out first. GSM vs CDMA, I guess.

It would make more sense for Verizon to make a big announcement for the Incredible rather then the N1.

I hope it comes out on the 27th. You want everyone else to have to wait because your NE2 isn't here. Dude! Even it comes out this month you can just wait till July and use the NE2 anyway. :confused:
 
Went to a local VZW store today to get a screen pro for the wife's Eris and quizzed the guy. He said the N1 will not be in store, and predicted the Incredible in April-May. But he had a big square head and his name was Howwwward. So I only believe the part about the N1.
