No offence inteneded to the OP of the 27th date, but is this still the only poster so far that confirms this?

There was apang's

Ok, I got a call back and the official release date of the Incredible it March 27th. Not sure why that was the day the picked but I have confirmed it with my 2 contacts and a manager with Verizon.

You can trust me or not. I believe them 100%.

but TheSultan also mentioned that a friend said the phones arrived at a store today in a post before apang mentioned his news.

Just got an email from a friend of mine at Verizon saying they got the Incredible today to start training this week! Very exciting news!

I can tell you one thing.....if the Incredible isn't out before the Supersonic, I will no longer be a verizon customer, and if neither is out this summer, I may go to T-Mobile.....I know they have no problems releasing phones in a timely matter.

What do you (or what does anyone in this community) know about the quality of T-Mo data service and coverage. I barely use 100-200 voice minutes a month; virtually all my usage is data and texting. I've never used T-Mobile and doubt I know anyone who does. I have always considered them a non-factor.

...except, Phandroid did report in mid-February that T-Mo UK is releasing the HTC Desire on 3/26.

I live in the Twin Cities area, and I know that at least around here, they have good service....I travel back home to more rural areas where Verizon would help, but T-Mo would be cheaper, and I'd get to have a state of the art phone. I'm also in your boat where I do a lot more texting than voice, and I haven't had a data plan yet.

Two contacts and a manager....okay, works for me! I was hoping for names, titles, phone numbers, email address...but I guess that works.

I feel like I have said this a million times, but if coverage was the same for me for T-Mobile or Sprint, I would be gone by now. I don't know why anyone would be with Verizon unless it was a work requirement or something like that if coverage was good for all the other carriers in their area.

T-Mobile gets better phones, Sprint has better plans, Verizon is just the best with coverage for most of us compared to the others.

Just watched the vid, very very similar to what we do here. Everything but the tumbling. I'm surpirised that they had a test set up specifically for pocketing the n1 but are still having issues. But then again it is in house testing and their failure parameters can be a little...biased towards what they feel will help keep their conscience clear.

Dude, they bent the phone past center. I don't know how that could happen in someone's jeans unless they were 300 lbs and the pants were made of steel. I'm thinking maybe they aren't the biased ones. But whatever makes you feel better.

I live in Oakland, CA, and traverse the entire Bay Area. So anyone living/working in the 510, 925, 415, 408 areas, do you have any practical feedback on VZW vs. TMO? Thanks in advance.

I've become very interested in Android platform generally and was especially interested in the latest HTC announced phones -- the Incredible and the Desire over the last few weeks. As mentioned in my profile, I am sick of AT&T and my judasPhone. I am ready to upgrade both!

That's been the case for me, but my phone # can't be ported over to the other carriers since I moved, and I won't be able to switch until this contract runs out in May.

If this rumour turns out to be untrue....I will turn into the Incredible Hulk.

Thanks apang....I owe you big time if it pails out...

Man, Every day I get more crazier about this phone..

IT"S ONLY A PHONE!!!

O Lord, I WANTT ITTTTTTTT..

It's not just a phone its INCREDIBLE

Go Twinkies!

A few more confirmations of the date will go a long way...

I'm trying to temper the excitement. My NE2 isn't up until Feb, but I don't give a damn!

I feel you but I'm not even into my first year of my NE2 Oct is the earliest I can upgrade with a discount.

<--- hates to say it but he sees a lot of people being set-up for an @ss chapper and a big let down...

On a side note, I HOPE I AM WRONG! Let's wait and see if any confirmed news comes on the 19th and then CTIA. Then bust out the alcohol and swisher sweets :D

I speak from experience, I work in the independant testing field so I may know a few things about manufacturer's bias. Not claiming that they didn't pass with bias intent but foreign companies have a knack for using the 1 in 100 point of view. That being if one unit in a 100 or at times 1000 pass they pass the entire group into shipping. It happens, there have been instances where companies skew data that we give them to pass their parts onto larger corporations ( a major violation if there ever was one) just to make a buck. As a third party testing lab we are impartial as to what passes because guess what, we get paid the same if they sell 1 unit or a million. Sorry if trying to enlighten you made me come off as an ass.

Unfortunatley Helicopter EMS services don't get that luxury. I better actually show up. Probably going to be a lot of chest pain calls from Verizon stores.

Didn't mean to offend ya, I have a couple of buddies in your field and I have mucho respect for them. And since you are going to be "sick" you should take the day off, we don't want you spreading germs to any injured folks! ;)

Agreed...and I hope I am wrong as well.

I think I recall NKT mentioning (in the old thread) with some confidence that we would not see this thing release until mid-april at the earliest.

Getting this stoked and set on a date so soon seems like a great way to end up severely disappointed.

For now I will remain very cautiously optimistic about the 27th!

release as in for sale. He said that they will have their inventory by next Tues. I will be there Tues afternoon with money in hand.

any word as to whether the Best Buys and Walmarts will carry it as well? I've got a beefy Best Buy card I'd like to use...

Killjoys all! ;)

Is it possible the release date of the 27th people keep referencing is actually for the N1. Maybe i missed it but i dont remember seeing a concrete release date for that phone either, and knowing VZW employees, they could easily be getting these two phones confused.

I'm in the Bay Area and VZW has always been great for me. I'm in the same boat as you where I don't really know anyone who has TMO. However, if you look at the coverage maps for both, VZW definitely has more coverage. It looks like TMO is mostly just right along the highways and bigger cities. (From what I can tell...)

Tmo US and Tmo UK do not always carry the same phones. For instance Tmo UK carries the Storm 2 but does not have the Mytouch. Both will have the Hd2, but that phone will be DOA when it hits Tmobile because it will not be upgrade to winmo 7.

Hmmm, the 27th huh? I'll take it with a grain of salt but I would love to be pleasantly surprised... No offense. Just dont want my hopes and dreams to be crushed.
