No offense to Phandroid, but maybe HTC and VZW act like this :D to them and are like, go ***K off we're not wasting our time with you. Know what I mean? HTC and or VZW might not give 2 *hits about them.

Maybe since HTC was annouced not so long ago (JAN) that they don't have anything at the time? They can't just release stuff every month. Just a guess IMO. Now if summer comes and there is nothing, then I'll probably be like wth?!

I think the Apple suit has us all a little worked up. NOT saying you aren't right, you very well could be, but HTC can't just roll over and take it from Apple. They need to keep doing things as usual (until the court says so) so they don't come across as in the wrong.

psh, I use Opera 10 for my browser. It has this feature by default. I've be using that function for weeks.

More on topic so I don't fall victim to further moderator tyranny, I know there has be discussion here and there on advertising for this phone, what do ya'll really think will really happen? Droid scale advertising (aka craptons), Eris scale advertising (aka liquidation advertising), or something inbetween? Personally, I think VZW will nerf the ads for this bad boy and it will see lack-luster sales. Mostly HTC/Android fans and the tech savvy like all of us will get it, but the masses will overlook it in favor of something else. I really hope this doesn't affect long-term development, like Moto suffered when they realized people only care about the cool phone, not the good one.

Edit: Just saw Alfdroid weighed in on this before I could even post it. Psychic much? Hey, use your powers to divine when the phone will be out.

Same exact boat man. xv6900 over here too and I gotta say I've flashed winmo and android roms on this badboy and cna't wait for the Incredible. I hope it has a good mod community like the xv6900 (vogue) had/has.

They'd be fools not to give Phandroid some props and respect, as how many registered forum users are there now? My guess it is in the tens of thousands. That's no small feet in the crowded world of tech sites. Also, Verizon advertises here and obviously knows this is an important segment of their target market.

Sorry for our lack of enthusiasm but this pic was taken some time ago by our buddy Devdroidian. So it's not a "new" picture. Most of us have already seen it along with others he took at the same time.

Edit: Dang, you guys beat me to the punch!

That is a good point and true, but I always figured VZW doesn't care as much about the tech people like us as they do average joe.

They want to appeal to the masses and get as many average cell phone users or n00b smartphone users to jump on their product.

If A = tech people and (for easy example sake) say there are 100
and
B = average cell phone user/smartphone user (not into the forums) and say there are 1000

They are going to want to get the info out first to the group of 1000, not 100.

Plus if they get the info out elsewhere they know the foums and media sites will pick up on it.

I'm not arguing with you. I agree and most likely they do BOTH, but other than that I don't know. This is just the crazy thoughts in my mind :eek: lol
 
Maybe Verizon will have that buy one get one free for the HTC Incredible like they are having right now.

Would be sick.........and huzzah for the more confirmation on a March 27th release date.

That's because that was an early dev. phone. It still had the red backplate. The ones on the spec page have the (should be) finalized version.

Still may be interesting to those who haven't seen them though.

You are correct, those pictures actually did circulate in the **OFFICIAL** thread that was closed, but they were not moved to the sticky thread.

I will go back and reply to Red Leader that it is old news and he should not post it! Geez, doesn't he know we just want to talk about our uncle's cousin that delivers pizza to the store next to the place where there used to be a VZW wireless store and what he heard was incredible. Or about how our old LG vx8300 is really starting to **** us off.

Ahhh, a BOGO including the Incredible? Thats kind of like AT&T having a BOGO on the iPhone. I bet VZW will continue its smartphone BOGO deal but there will be fine print excluding the Incredible. If anything, however, that deal will draw people to the store where they will see the Incredible and possibly opt into buying it instead of pursuing the deal.

Yes, plus that is the only picture posted that provides a visual size comparison with another well know android device. This pic will help people get a better feel for the size of the device.
