I would say so! Skype mobile is quickly becoming a Verizon exclusive and I think I read somewhere that it will be on all Android phones when it launches and I'm sure all upcoming devices as well.

Indeed. Several of us have been conversing with vido.ardes (presumably with many other mods reading along) regarding this issue. Whatever verdict they hand down, be relaxed, rational, reasonable, and respectful. They have done as much for us, now return the favor, please.

Hey Guys, I've been reading posts for a while but never really had much to contribute.
I just heard something that makes me kind of curious and wondering if i'm just missing something.
My company is in the process of testing new corporate phones out. we're currently on the Bold but we're having too many problems. We are testing the Storm and some other phone. Anyway, I was talking to the person in charge of our phones and asking her if we were considering Android phones. She told me that we were only considering World Phones for ease of use and that the verizon rep told her there is an Android device with World Phone capabilities for verizon.
I'm not aware of any out the currently...am I missing something?

Swype is AWSOME! I have it on my Omnia Winmo phone and I have read that Android either has it or will get it so I don't think it comes with it but there is probably a way to install it.

Probably work for voice calls only.
I have a lot of incentive to go with Verizon. First is quality of network. Second is the fact that my wife and I have ours sides of the family that have in large part migrated to Verizon. Of course we've stalled on information and I'm a bit leery about getting my hopes up for the Incredible before I have to make a decision in May...but hopeful.
Since I am currently on Sprint and fairly happy...and read that Sprint actually contracts with Verizon to provide 3G in areas where Sprint does not have 3G coverage...I'm thinking the Supersonic could be an alternative. In fact, if CTIA is the release for the SS...then it really ups the ante for Verizon and their release of the Incredible. At least this is my best guess.
It would seem Verizon would be the last to the high speed HTC party if they don't release the Incredible soon! But of course who knows when the SS would truly be available...and then it's like waiting for the Incredible! I guess some interesting news will shake out soon. I'm think this puts enough pressure on Verizon that we should hear Incredible news at CTIA...or we can really start to wonder about a December release!

Just talk to a CSR over the phone. Obviously he had no new info on any phones except the devour
. I mainly asked about the early upgrade for people moving from a feature phone to a smartphone. He couldn't find any info except for alltel customers with old hardware could upgrade early.

For everyone fussing over the off topic stuff just do what i do start scrolling until you see a post with alot of thanks and stop its a fast way to weed out all the bs i just caught up on about 5 or 6 times in no time

I've tried saying this like 5 times already and it always gets overlooked. It's the easiest way to catch up without having to read the chatter you don't care about!

My coworker said that he talked to the htc rep and they said 2 weeks for the release date for the incredible. That was yesterday. I will still interigate the rep on friday.
2 weeks is more in line with an April 1st release, which to me seems to be just as legit as March 27th as they're very close to CTIA.

I have learned by now the CSR really are clueless, It's pointless to call them, you can call them 1 day before a product launches and they usually will not have a clue as to what your talking about, I pre ordered a Droid at Best Buy (Reward Zone) a week before Verizon released it and still the csr folks had no clue about the specs. It's their job to play dumb...and some have mastered that technique.
