Sales tax on an online order?
Yes, because Verizon does business in your state and has brick and mortar stores.

Sales tax on an online order?
Haven't had a new phone in almost 2 years, so I called Verizon to pre-order to see if I could get any discounts. Got a white, 32 gb for FREE. Kept unlimited data. Only charge was the $30 upgrade fee.
My account still shows that I am eligible for upgrade, but if I try to go through the process, it says that I have purchased a phone already. I pre-ordered through VZW so not sure when the BB orders get processed.

I got mine for free because I am on my original droid x so its over 2 years old without an upgrade. I am also on a business account( not sure if that means anything it never has before, if anything I think i got f**** more)
When was the last time you upgraded?
And what are these shipping dates for the month of June. My understanding is that phone will not ship until 2-3 days before the launch date of 7/9?
The business account might be the reason why. The VZW rep did say some of these people might be on corporate/business accounts, so that's why they are getting discounts.
Phew, I'm not sure when was the last time I upgraded. I had the original Incredible, then that broke, so Asurance sent me a Droid X since they didn't have the incredible (which was I think early 2011). So not sure if that's considered an "upgrade"
I got my pre-order in at 7:04 am for a 32GB Blue. I just called and they said it would be shipped today. After I hung up, I said, " Sorry, but I don't believe you". Hope I'm wrong!!
Ordered mine, got tired of waiting for the Incredible 4G LTE. But looks like I am the only person who had to pay full price, but that's fine. Fingers crossed they come before July 9th but somehow I doubt it.
FWIW, the number I called to get the free phone is 877.888.6499.
On another note: The VZW rep told me that in order to get the phone for free, I'd have to mail them my old phone. VZW will send me a pre-paid padded envelope and I have to send them my phone after I activate the new one. I'm OK with this because my old phone is a really worn, scuffed, scratched Droid X. But I'm leery about the company somehow getting my data, even after I wipe it. I think I might dunk it in water and dry it out before returning it, just to be on the safe side. Anyone else have to return their old phones?

You are safe as in your personal data. Just make sure to format your SD card as well as factory reset the device.
I'm considering a my next phone and like a lot about the SG3. I'm in an outlying area and don't have 4G coverage (probably won't have it for at least another year). Radios are quite important, and my DX has been very reliable.
I'm curious about impressions that new SG3 users might have relative to your past experience with Motorola DX reception.
Do you have to give the SD card back? I just would wipe the phone and keeo the SD card. It is designed for personal storage.
