I'm not trying to stir the pot, I'd call it a challenge for a more substantive thread. I still want to see that Incredible spec sheet.. :D

Well, a jerk move like butchering his name w/ a borderline racial connotation isn't going to get that spec sheet to show up any faster. He may choose to not even want put it out there now when he does get it.

Where I come from being an ass usually has negative affects on people wanting to help you.

I think the first site that jumped on the "it'll be out in two weeks" bandwagon this morning listed the specs with a 768mhz which I'm sure is info they got from here a few weeks ago (from NKT). All the rest of the sites then piggy backed off those numbers and that's why many of the sites say 768.

What the first and subsequent sites failed to note is that new info came out that it's actually running at 998 (from Stericon?). Is it possible it's actually 768 and Stericon was wrong? Possible, but the latest info that was posted seemed to imply that it wasn't going to be underclocked.

OK, I'm not racial that was a quote from the movie "Kicking and Screaming". Will Farrell particularly.. that being known, is it still a "jerk" move? BTW I'm Korean... I'm done. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

I'm not entirely sure who to quote on this, however I believe it was said that during operation, it's at 998mhz and idles at 2xxmhz.

stericson is the one that said 998 Mhz wide open and 245 Mhz at idle

At least it appears these copycats are off the "256 mb RAM" bandwagon. :D

little off topic so sorry in advance. I was a mod on another board and we had the option to thank and a option to say I hated that idiot post. I like both because you never know when you will need both options.

Go Incredible. get here before may.

I recall someone asking a while back about the strength of the vibrate mode on the HTC Incredible, but I do not recall what the answer was. Does anyone have any information on how strong the phone will vibrate?

I was the one that asked. No one has replied.
It will be a deal breaker for me if the vibrate mode isn't any better than the Eris
Sorry to be on topic!

How about a "Thanks" and an "I'm now dumber for reading this post" button?

Man I hope we get some news soon and this thing releases in the next couple weeks. I don't want to leave Verizon to get a Supersonic but if they don't give me something I want to buy I'm not going to give them what they want, which is my money.

I've been using this crappy Blackberry Storm for too long. I need a new phone, and I need it now. My sister has been of no help finding out about anything Incredible related at work. I'm trying so hard to get some info, but she's just been ignoring me calls and texts lately. Haha. And it's me birthday tomorrow so she should be lovingly accepting everything I do this week! :(

We're on a big roller coaster, but I think we're still riding through a cave, and don't know how much longer the ride lasts. Come Tuesday, we should exit the cave and have a pretty good idea, what the rest of the ride looks like, and what the prize we get at the end.

Until CTIA begins on Tuesday, fresh news on the Incredible is going to move slower than a turtle on valium. :(
kcoan3, one of our forum members who works at Verizon said he was going to have a training session Friday(tomorrow) with an HTC rep. Hopefully he can give us some info.
Guess what i just found out!! I work for vzw as well and every friday and sat we have early store meetings... Normally its just numbers stuff but this week... wait for it... on friday an HTC will be in the store for the early meeting!!! now I dont want to jump to conclusions but i have been working there for a while and this will be the first time a rep will actually be there for the meeting and not just browsing around the store during regular hours.. could they be there to announce something??? I HOPE SO!!!

Incredible???? even the Nexus would be nice!!!

Looks like he was the one to start the two week rumor too, didn't realize that till now.

My coworker said that he talked to the htc rep and they said 2 weeks for the release date for the incredible. That was yesterday. I will still interigate the rep on friday. ;)

I am a BB user. I am currently using the Storm. I would like to put to rest the idea that the above link is a Hybrid OS of RIM and Android. The "Hybrid" that this link is referring to is a mix matched OS version. Let me explain. When us BB users want to get the next and best thing from the upcoming versions of the RIM OS but dont want the bugs of things not yet fixed in the next OS we go for a Hybrid. This mean we pick and choose what parts of the OS is going to stay and what parts will go. So the above link is not of multiple OS types....Just on One OS (RIM) in different release stamps. Hope this debunks any misunderstanding.

I know this is off topic. But I felt compelled to help.

No, he meant a combo of BBOS and Android.

Somewhere after his post was a link to an article where someone said WHY BB/Android would be good, and the article referred to it as a Hybrid. I will find the link quick.

A hybrid has many meanings....

I know what he meant. And if you read what I wrote you would see that I stated that is wrong. And the article that was posted about a hybrid OS was also before this post that he made. He linked this thinking that it was in fact the Hybrid of the two OS's and it is not.
