Root [ACS]Root for Transform Ultra

Hi guys! First time poster, long time reader, here. hahah

I'm on a Mac, and keep getting "device not found" in terminal, while running the SH file, but I have USB debugging on. I've even tried starting the SH when i reboot the phone, and that does nothing.

Any help?

It's probably something dumb i'm doing on my part, hahaa, but any suggestions would be awesome.
 
I'm also not a mac user but do you have drivers installed for it? Not sure if you need different drivers then the pc ones but if there are none available does mac have a driver wrapper like I used to use in linux?
 
I'm pretty sure you don't have to install drivers. When I rooted my prevail, all I did was drag the .sh file into terminal and it did everything for me.

Maybe my phone's just a turd.
 
Well, I got a replacement on Tuesday, but the sound from the ear piece was really badly distorted. :( Wednesday got the second replacement but had screen problems. :( It's Friday now am finding that Thursday's replacement has a few screen problems and after being plugged in for a while at the same time uploading files it reached 107.6 degrees F. :( Wish I could be rooting, this stock stuff is boring. :mad: I a starting to dislike this phone.

I was very happy once I was rooted but I don't know what is up with this phone or the company making it. If it wasn't for my addiction to eBay and buying all those accessories for my TU. I could easily give it up and go with something different, if they would give it to me. But sprint won't up grade me without charging me something. But I am wondering where I should go from here once I do get a working phone. I should try another rom or two, have to play and have fun with the TU.

interdpth, just to get some understanding of a few things, if you can unroot by removing the su file, then would it be easy to restore from original backup (the stock backup), remove any apps that needed root access then delete su file or use ginger unroot and essentially be back to stock? Would anyone know it was rooted?

Also I heard you can remove CWM by deleting a file, which one exactly I don't remember (I guess this would have to be done before the unroot).

Another question would be after restoring form stock backup are you able to do factory reset?

1) You cannot remove CWM by deleting a file. You have to flash a stock boot image.

You guys rule! Thanks so much. I had a prevail for too long and you helped me root that shit. Now I just got a transform and you got me on this too. Thanks so much for all your work!!!
 
Hey guys...I'm a prevail user but recently got a TU and am trying to root it with this method. I've tried 4 times and it keeps telling me it can't find Zergrush...followed by a permission error and other errors/files not found. Ultimately no root/su. Anyone know what the problem could be?

do you have adb installed? what about your phone is USB debugging enabled? have you tried a different computer/USB ports?
 
Hi all i fear im having the same issue as one of the users here. I can not unroot the phone at all, followed all the adviice here, i have removed Remove the file su from /system/bin/ it is no longer in there, but i am still rooted, can not remove superuser from the phone at all, every time i check the root on it it tells me its rooted, factory restored still rooted. can anyone help me i work for a bank and they will not let me connect to our internal network unless i am unrooted, so riht now if i can get it back to normal im going to have to buy a new phone.
please any advice would be helpful

You can unroot with Odin, and why wont they let you connect if rooted?
 
Links down for me. I tired to dl from op at 1:50pm est. Just joined to today so I can finally get the screen to work right.


Never mind missed the second link working fine now. Thx for all the work everyone put in. Its a shame there isn't a larger community for this phone. I wish I could help but I wouldn't know where to start.

Hey guys Ive been trying to use this program and Im getting the same error as above. I donno whats going on. On windows xp. Ill try and redownload he file again.

Make sure you have usb debugging enabled and that your antivirus is off when you download and run the program.
 
(side note first the m key on ny conputer doesnt work very well so m's are represented by nn)
Ive been trying to root nny transfornn for a couple of weeks now and have had no success:mad:. it sends the zerglings and the blue flannes but after that it fails to to do anything says that files are read only. does the android version have to be 2.3 or below, i'nn currently running 2.3.6. Any help would be appreciated.

Also forgot to add this, tennporarly disabled AVG 2012 when doing this, no change.

currently this one click root method will not work on 2.3.6, interdpth is working on it so just hang tight & let him do his magic lol.I hope i helped ya out.

Awesome. It did help, what is the highest android version it will work with currently?

Sorry I have had only rooted phones and can't stand the confomaties of not having one lol.
 
OK so I've done this many times and for some reason my phone won't root. I've downloaded and extracted the file multiple times, I've turned off my antivirus (thinking it was somehow interfering with the transfer of files), and I have also changed the settings on the transformmm folder so that it is not a read only file. In the log after clicking the Transform.bat file it said something about not being able to transfer files because the folder was read only.

IDK what to do next. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Total noob move! I meant to quote this before posting above! Lol! First time posting on here....really hoping I can be of help to someon:De after all the help I've been given
