Zachery: Did you see a new Htc with a physical keyboard also?
brett: so im thinking they were going to announce this verizon phone to put in that second one until sprint announced that and i think this phone will show up tomorrow at verizon
brett: no i havent seen anything like that
brett: what about the nexus one anything about that? i know it will be sold through google online
Zachery: Aww. I am looking at phonescoop right now and they are giving updates from ctia, nothing on the verizon phone yet though. 4g is on there.
Zachery: Yes we will be getting it they just haven't told us when.
brett: will it be sold through your stores?
brett: but alright i feel like im wasting your time
brett: i do want to upgrade though but im worried i will upgrade and a better phone will come out and ill be screwed
Zachery: Yes.
Zachery: You will have 30 days to exchange is something comes out that you want.
Zachery: Yes was to sold in stores question.

Agreed. Just to clarify, I wasn't arguing that Verizon doesn't have the best overall network. I think that is clear. My point was just how much better is it vs. how good is Verizon at telling us that their network is vastly superior than all the others.

So you would prefer Verizon advertise their service as "slightly" better than the competition?

Dude. Way to vent to the VZW rep about the windows. HAHAHA. Poor guy. Haha.

That was awesome though. I'm glad he was soo hooked too..

HAhaha

take this for whats its worth but apparently the nexus one will be sold in verizon stores

brett: really the nexus one will be sold in verizon wireless stores?
Zachery: Yes that is what they are saying

It's just crazy man...
This has to be the biggest thread for a phone. Not even counting the thread about the Passion/Bravo that was filled with Verizon customers who were waiting for a great htc android device. It will be crazy if we have to wait a half of a year!!! This thread is freaking famous lol

I know there is nothing we can do, but it just seems crazy. I don't want to whine, but it's just blowing my mind:confused:

The fact that Verizon was THE SECOND NETWORK TO ANNOUNCE it would have the Nexus One, but now it's looking like Sprint will come first?

I know for a fact almost all of us would switch networks if Verizon didnt have the best coverage, and that kills me! Why? Because Verizon knows that!

Well I guess ill have to keep on keeping on...maybe ill get the new version of SPB Shell on my omnia.

Might have to go with the n1 if the incredible doesnt bring any news soon and the n1 is actually sold in stores

One more person saying n1 sold in stores. looking more and more likely. not that i care, i need the subsidy.

This is weird: A huge Verzion announcement was supposed to happen in January around the same time the ipad was being announced. -- Nothing. The day that everyone is so sure the Incredible would be announced -- Nothing. I am dying to know what IS going on behind the scenes at Verizon!

Hey guys been following this thread the last few days and finally decided to register.

The above quote is true, there was supposed to be a big VZW announcement the same day the ipad launched. I follow a "insider" on twitter and he hinted there was going to be one then went strangely quiet when nothing happened. Some people asked him and he said he couldn't comment. As to the people on here that say there is no Incredible.. there most definitely is one. I copied this guys tweets from a couple weeks ago..

QUOTE from his twitter:

"On a side note: only took one device on my trip, htc incredible.. loved it n the battery hung in there well.. love htc onscreen keyboard :) "

"htc incredi.. just got my final revision hardware today"

That last tweet was on march 17

This guy word is golden, but he will not say much and he never tweets release dates. I've seen people ask him and he says he values his job, can't say I blame him lol.

Zachery: Yes was to [Nexus One] sold in stores question.

Maybe MM's box was a demo unit of the n1 to have customers play with in stores.

That would be wise of google. If i could go in play with the N1. Then order it online off the google site. It would be win win for both. VZW gets the contract, VZW sells more phones (because there's more visibility as well as you can play with it before you buy).

I had Sprint for 10 years and never found a place anywhere in the country that didn't have great 3G coverage. Sprint (at least when I had them) would also roam on Verizon, so it was at least as good as Verizon. Since then I switch to AT&T which has practically no 3G coverage in my state and poor voice coverage. I can't wait to go to Verizon and get coverage again.
I wish that T-Mobile was more appealing. I like the idea of not having a contract. But they don't offer discounts on the "even more plus" plan while Verizon offers 20% for lots of businesses and university, making them the same price. For the same price I'll choose Verizon's excellent coverage over T-Mobiles non-existent 3G.

That said, if the Incredible doesn't show up on Verizon soon, I'd be tempted to stay on AT&T and get the Desire.

I don't like that Sprint forces you to buy an everything plan with their Android phones. That makes their plans twice as expensive as Verizon. No thanks. And they've pretty much said they're going to charge even more for 4G coverage on the EVO. And it might cost more than $199.

twice as expensive? WTF are you talking about? Sprint simply everything is 99$ single/$190 family. Verizon cant even come close to that. if you want mobile to mobile and 450/1500 minutes to landlines with nights and weekends, it is $69 single/ $130 family. Sprint has never looked better! Verizon is about to get a reality check.
This plan includes

  • Unlimited data: Web surfing, email, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS), GPS Navigation, Music Premier, TV Premier, NFL Mobile Live, NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM
  • Unlimited Direct Connect: Direct Connect and Group Connect (for capable phones)
  • Unlimited messaging: Text, pictures and video
  • Unlimited talk: Unlimited anytime minutes, nationwide long distance and no roaming charges

brett: really the nexus one will be sold in verizon wireless stores?
Zachery: Yes that is what they are saying

You do realize though that based on the chat log the "they" is probably phonescoop and not Verizon.

I dont want the fricken nexus one! If the Inc doesnt get announced soon imma wait n get the Desire. But I dont want to switch to at&t. This is getting fricken irritating
*takes a deep breath* sorry, just had to say it
