Velocity is awesome, though I never cared for ADW that much, using launcher pro instead, especially since it can resize things which works well with my increased resolution (8x5 icon layout instead of the stock 4x4); awesome in landscape but resizing is sorely needed for portrait.
This glitches the market occasionally, about twice a week - I can get the market working fine (180dpi, 8x5 icon layout) - but every few days it decides to freak out and give me the 'incompatible app' problem, till I reset the dpi, stop it, clear it's data/cache, and reboot 2-3 times :/
If the velocity devs can fix THAT, so it works with noon-standard DPI's, it'd be *incredibly* awesome.
I've got a couple other little glitches; I often find out I got a text or missed a call, hours later and without the notification sounds going off when I get it, much less the reminder ones. And I don't see anyplace to set reminders for email messages. (it'd also be nice to set separate ring/notification tones for contacts, I haven't found how to yet if there already is).
Those are all minor things I could live with, and probably just annoyances I have, I'm a bit picky
But one thing that DOES seriously bother me, is that the tether apps, especially the wifi one, are unstable with connections at times, especially telnet ones. I've frequently had them disconnect when idle more than a minute or two and that's an extremem annoyance; as is the fact it seems to get windows thinking it's a new network every time I connect- it's apparently changing the MAC address every time I start either tethering app. (and there's also no option to put it on a 192.168.0.* network, only 192.168.1.* and others).
If there's a way to fix those, and it's not just my Ally, I'd appreciate it; I can live with them, although the wifi issue is a real serious annoyance, especially since I use it frequently. (Oh, and a better shell like bash would be wonderful, especially if it has a command history!)
