I meant in terms of people that have been here longer and post a lot. I've just been seeing newer people posting. But I have been skimming so I might have missed some
 
Pic on another flickr account taken with a Desire of another phone with tape on it. I am not sure why they would still have tape on the desire. Also, this phone plugs in the bottom and not on the side.

P.S. Not to mention that if they had shown off the Incredible before the round-table today no one would have paid any attention to what they had to say because they would all be trying to get their hands on that Incredible phone;) Here's hoping for a third-day announcement...

Hi, first post here on the forums, but have been lurking for a day! Had to register.

I will be moving from my BB Tour 9630 to either the N1 or Incredible... haven't really decided yet. I guess it all really depends on when exactly the Inc. is going to be released.

Either way, I noticed that a lot of you here work very hard to gather info on the subject. Thanks for the hard work, can't wait until the day it's actually released!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this will be my first Android phone! I was very impressed with the Droid when it was released, and the phone companies have continued to impress me with their uses of the Android OS. It seems to be miles ahead of the BlackBerry OS and even a step or two above the iPhone OS.

Honestly, how many more times can I say this without people believing me. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE ANNOUNCED AT CTIA. From what I have heard, you'll see it in the 2nd half of April. No special announcements. Originally I predicted May...but I am hearing 2nd half of April.
 
For all you "old timers" (and by old timers I mean having been around these parts since December), back in the HTC Passion subforum days, before they split off the Incredible, I do recall a Verizon employee, who had contact with an HTC rep, posting quite a bit sometime after Xmas before the 1st of the year. His rep basically told him the Incredible would be hitting big red in April. He basically stopped coming around these parts, but I can't help think that he was dead on 3 months ago. Nash, do you remember the poster? Actually, I think he was on the Verizon subforum.

looks kinda like the HTC Incredible but nearly impossible to tell

An April release date aint so bad, ill get a phone to play with and then return it within 30 days for the htc incredible

Well, I finally got the rom unzipped and started to pull it apart in a little more detail. It's definitely for the Incredible. From the decompressed kernel:

Assuming it comes out in April. My issue is that my phone is on it's last leg and I need to get something. Droid does not impress me that much (keyboard, slower, plain UI) and I am not going to root and overclock it.

It's the not knowing that's pissing me off. It's the fact that they know every one wants this device and their smug a**hole Twitter handlers are saying "coming soon" or "stay tuned" when we know that they know jack *hit is even more annoying.

First Snapdragon phone to come out with Sense and 2.1 is getting my business. Plain and simple. All 4 networks work fine where I am so that is a wash. I am not locked into a plan with VZW, I get a voice and data discount with my work on all 4 making their prices about even so for me it's 100% device driven.

1) Sprint, ATT, T-Mobile has not yet released any new android phone that beats the Droid. The network with the best service still leads the pack with android devices without the incredible.

2) Everyone who is following new android phones are on the internet. They know all about the Incredible even though it has not been confirmed.

3) EVO is a great phone but when is it coming out. Still do not know other than this summer. The incredible could be announced in May, released two weeks later, and still be out before any upcoming android phone that is confirmed and in the league of the incredible.

4) Verizon has had a huge run of free advertising, us and all other internet followers. The hype has everyone drooling. Without anything else coming out we are not leaving to get something better. Maybe we are pissed as we lead ourselves to this week being the day of revelation. Not Verizon's fault. Even current verizon commercials, android internet news, chats and blogs that discuss other phones have all of us waiting thniking, wondering, posting and asking about this phone that they will not publically acknowledge. Did not spend a dime for any of this. Bet Verizon has never has so many come up to employees, send customer service emails, call, and ask about a new phone that they do not acknowledge. Why pay for what we are giving for free and better than any ad firm could come up with.

Now all that said, I have been following this phone from around thanksgiving. Passion, Dragon, Bravo, Incredible. I woud really like a high end HTC android device on the verizon network. I would really like it now. Have been waiting since November.

By the way where did the device and info experts go. Amazing how when the day the world ends (in this case the release date) comes and goes the prophets tend to go back into the darkness.

Give me the Droid I want. High end HTC (best manufcturer) android phone on the verizon network.
 
I wonder if Verizon realizes how much bad PR they created for themselves... Most of the tweets are wondering where it is and/or pissed about it. Before CTIA it was all anticipation for some kind of news, and there is nothing.

As for tomorrow, I would like it to happen but don't think so. I wasn't so worried yesterday because the Evo attention on the first day seemed plausible for an Incredible announcement the 2nd day. Besides, it's like a half day. What's the point of displaying a new phone on a half day with some people already gone..

However, the Incredible is out there yet. I don't think we can deny that. From a few of the sources here, something in April is possible. But, I do feel like that countdown image that was posted earlier today. Counting down to something big, then repeat. (sigh)

I wonder what would come first.. Me trying to be successful of impregnating my male cat or them announcing the HTC incredible..

I really don't want to try to impregnate my cat so I hope incredible gets announced tomorrow.
