I wonder what would come first.. Me trying to be successful of impregnating my male cat or them announcing the HTC incredible..

I really don't want to try to impregnate my cat so I hope incredible gets announced tomorrow.
That is extremely disturbing and awkward..........

Anyways, T-Mobile has the Nexus One and that beats the Droid :).

I meant in terms of people that have been here longer and post a lot. I've just been seeing newer people posting. But I have been skimming so I might have missed some

I was just joshin' yeah. We're here, just layin low for some POSITIVE news. Keepin' the faith man!

Well, I finally got the rom unzipped and started to pull it apart in a little more detail. It's definitely for the Incredible. From the decompressed kernel:

incrediblec_tv_video_relay
bcm4329
(plus a lot of other goo), but an interesting bit is this:
tvenc_detect_work_func
tvenc_wait_vsync
tvenc_enable_amplifier
tvenc_detect_isr
tvenc_on
mt20xx.radio_antenna
mt20xx.tv_antenna
mt20xx.optimize_vco
mt20xx.debug
tda8290_probe
tda8295_probe
...which implies Video4Linux2 stuff (FM radio, perhaps?)

From the kernel ramdisk, we have the NAND (Micron's eMMC: # eMMC related export PHONE_STORAGE /emmc), an interesting service: service netsharing_on /system/bin/netsharing net on.

Now I need to work on the disk images...see if there's anything juicy there.

model numbers pops us from this as.............ModelID: PB3120000
CIDNUM: VZW__001
MainVer: 1.13.605.1
HbootPreUpdate: 11

The same one that passed through FCC with brt6300(battery number). Looks like the ADR6300

This phone should seriously be called HTC Therapy, because if it is announced we will all be hyper-excited and then we will burn out and need it, if it is not, then we are F@#ked and we will be a bunch of depressed phone nerds and will still need it!

Boy am I going to take a hit fo this but here goes.

1) Sprint, ATT, T-Mobile has not yet released any new android phone that beats the Droid. The network with the best service still leads the pack with android devices without the incredible.

Sprint has the Moment which has a faster processor and a better keyboard, than the Droid, and T-Mobile has the N1 (so does ATT as long as you don't mind the unsubsidized part). So I don't think Droid is the best android phone available.

don't toy with me, I'm suicidal!

if i was near ya...i'd give you a good ole kick in the ....

So I just got off a call from one of my sources. He stated that his VZW rep came by today and informed him that the HTC "Incredible' will be released the same day as the N1 for Verizon. I told him that there was some kind of announcement that it was announced today and that it will be on the website tomorrow? He said he wasn't sure and that he would call to confirm. This was at 5:15 PM EST. I will let you know what he says when he calls me back.

One more thing: Has anyone confirmed the release date from previous posts about it being announced and will be released tomorrow?

EDIT: Not sure how much I can trust these guys anymore. So we will just have to wait and see what he comes back with.

Apang, any word on this? The Nexus One or Incredible being announced tomorrow? ANYTHING!

Ok, so the userdata.img looks completely empty. I haven't completely ripped apart system.img yet, but I *think* I have the individual files. Some APKs that seem interesting:

FlashLitePlugin.apk
TVOUT.apk (Would lend credence to the kernel symbols I found)
HtcFMRadio.apk

Well, we've known it'll have an FM radio but this is good confirmation. Most (all?) HTC's with Sense have Flash Lite too. No idea what TV out is unless its HDMI, and I didn't think we were getting that?

Flash lite is really nothing special since it isn't full flash, but the FM radio apk pretty much confirms the FM radio...very nice! :D I still don't get why current cell phones don't already have FM radios. I mean, my Rio MP3 player from over 10 years ago had a built in FM radio.

this really turned out to be a crappy couple of days. I was hoping to have a nice phone in my hands now. But instead I have heart burn and a sore back from sitting all day infront of my comp.

Well we know the devour is gonna be popping up on vzw's site tomorrow. Maybe that is the low end option and something else will come out with it on the high end.
