[Verizon] best jelly bean rom?

Well-Known Member
Hey I want to flash one of the new jelly bean roms but I have no idea which one is better.
So can anyone help me out and tell me which one is the most stable and has the best battery life? The only rom I flashed before were only the liquidsmooth versions.
but I don't think they came out with a jelly bean update.

LiquidSmooth actually just released an Alpha build today so if you want stability I'd suggest either Bugless Beast or JellyBelly. BAMF and Liquid are both fairly new to JB but I'm running the Alpha build of Liquid and I'm loving it. I also ran the LS versions on ICS.

We can't tell you!! You must try them yourself and see what fits your needs best :D

I first flashed Bugless Beast, and while that was great, after reading all the raving reviews of XenonHD, I decided to flash that. It is everything I could want in a ROM at the moment! Fast, smooth, and stable!

I was on Jelly Belly since it was released then switched to XenonHD. For some reason i've have a few problems it which is weird since no one else seem to have any issues. I'm going to flash Liquids ROM tonight, even though its an Alpha release I've read lot of good things from it.

Was on Xenon, it was pretty good. Flashed Liquids earlier today and it is really strong. Other than some customizations that will come with later builds, I don't see how the phone could get any better

A great first JB rom is Bugless Beast. It's as pure of a google experience (minimal customization's) you'll find and it is truely... bugless. I also had awesome battery life.

Today I installed the alpha of Liquid and will most likely stay with it unless it shows poor battery performance. This rom has a lot of customization's! Of course by "stay with it" I mean days or maybe even hours. I may need to see a rom flashing support group. :D

I just flashed Jelly Belly 3.9.1, and it's as solid as can be. I may try out AOKP when it matures a little, just to see what all the fuss is about. :)

If you're looking for an experience that's as close to stock as possible, I'd go with Jelly Belly. It's stable, fast, and 99.9% bug free. I highly recommend it.

If you want all that plus built-in customization options, I strongly suggest you try the Jelly Bean version of Liquid Smooth that just came out today. It's only in alpha status right now but I've only encountered 3 (more like 2 and a half) extremely minor bugs. Really, the only reason it's in alpha is because it's still missing some of the features of the ICS versions of Liquid. LiquidSmooth-JB is super fast, super stable, and new features are gonna be added daily :)

P.S. Antimony, congrats on becoming a guide, when did that happen? Lol, I've been gone for a while, as you can tell :p

Makes me wanna try liquid jb. Oh dear its gonna be a looong nite

I just installed Liquid JB. First thing I noticed was how fast it boots up. It doesn't stay on the splash screen for long at all. If you liked Xenon for the customizations you'll love Liquid.

What current JB roms have:

1) Drop Down Toggles
2) An LTE Toggle in the drop downs

I need both of those features before trying a new ROM. Flashed AOKP Preview 4 which for me was a disaster. I had done a complete format of everything prior to install yet my dialer was in forced landscape, I couldn't edit contacts and the Nav Bar custimization didn't work. So I returned to my AOKP preview 1 build, but looking for something with a little more customization and the 2 requirements above.

Thanks!

Liquid has both, and it works perfectly. I can't plug it enough :p

So far I have to agree with TR on liquid jelly. It has a nice set of customizations and I havent noticed any bugs. Battery life with location services off is as strong as ive seen on my GNex (keep in mind this is only after 4 hours of use). Havent noticed any bugs yet, but looking like liquid just won a convert after running the AOKP previews this is definitely a more solid rom.

I've been on the Bugless Beast release since they came out, but the latest one (7/24) has had horrible battery life, so I used it as an excuse to try another ROM. I'm currently on XenonHD, and I gotta say its pretty good so far. I'm looking forward to trying Liquid once it gets a little more stable

I'm sorry for all the Liquid spam, but you should know, Liquid is completely stable. It's only in alpha because it's still missing some features from the ICS version of Liquid, that's all. It's bug-free, smooth, and rock solid. You should try it :)

hi guys, still noob on flashing roms, my first and only rom is bugless beast: toro_2012-07-19 and i saw in this thread he has a newer rom since then. My question, everytime a new rom comes out you lose all your customizations, apps etc right? I put a lot of work into my final apps/customizations and don't get why/how i can easily switch roms and get that stuff back quickly, can i?

thx,
riz

Nope, if you're coming from the same build, just wipe cache and dalvik and then flash the update. All settings should be there. Make sure you do the necessary backups just in case.

^^^ ok, cool.. but if i want to change from bugless beast to liquied, then it is a start over correct? and if yes, is there any way to say apps and settings to make switching faster, or change roms is just like any other reformat of a regular nexus

thx

Yeah, if you switch ROMs, it's recommended to wipe cache, dalvik cache, and system. I didn't wipe data when switching to Liquid, though, and encountered no issues. If you do need to wipe data, though, use Titanium Backup to backup and restore your apps ;)

OK guys, flashed Liquid a few hours ago. All I can say is wow! This ROM is fast, and silky smooth. Best ROM I have used yet
