So far so good, but my specific install was a bit lengthy.

I flashed 2.0.1 then the blueremovedcenterclock.zip (notificiations were appearing behind the time instead of in front) then the powermenu.zip, then Bobz.

I changed the font to Roboto using ROM toolbox (didn't like cursive)

PS Power Control modded into the notifications window would make this complete :-)
 
Just to let you know, this is very nice, smooth, and faster then stock even with tweaks and root. And oh yeah, I'm on sprint. The only thing I see different is the network actually states boost but everything else still indicates sprint. Wifi works, 3g works. Still testing but it looks like I will keep this rom for a little while.

Forgot to mention the only thing I don't have are the new power options. I can live without them.
 
So i was wondering what download mode does and how do you use it? When I clicked on it from the power button menu it powered off my phone. What am i missing. Was i supposed to do something first? :smokingsomb:
 
yes supposed to do the same as power off then hold power button+vloume down+camera which puts phone into download mode for Odin.

I skipped the power menu tweak because i like the power tools app that does all this. It was included in Ultra rom 2.0.0 not sure if it was in the update 2.0.1 or was in my titanium backup.
I know recovery works from PT will check download mode and edit here.

edit. no love. from power tools reboot download just reboots the phone.

way above me but if i had to guess its something to do with the down volume button. when you enter download mode the sammy splash plays then you get a warning screen and the volume buttons make the choice. however this app gives the hard key signal it may be holding it to long and making the reboot choice.
I say this because there is barely a pause and a glitch free reboot.
 
I installed Ultra rom on my Daughters phone last night. It was still on the stock 2.3.4 rooted with cwm.

The install went good. Soon as it booted the first time we got the ota update notification. Yes I cursed, a lot. So I went ahead and themed and set some stuff up and every reboot there was the update. Then i restored her apps and data with titanium backup. Rebooted the phone no update. Ive rebooted the phone several times and no notification.

Not sure how or why the running your titanium backup from before the notification might make it go away. Might have to reinstall the rom first.

Be nice if some with the update nag and an old backup could test the theory.

I didn't install the oc kernel because shes 11 and don't want her exploring and getting into CPU master.

She wanted me to say an extra thanks for Her. She loves the pink theme and hasn't put her phone down all morning. The flower battery Icon realy got her.

and of course I wanted to say thanks for the quality Rom and Theme. Install was flawless.
 
I bricked my phone doing some testing trying to fix cm7 data . It won't do anything except turn on the notification LED..cant even get into download mode :(:( so my days here are done...
I'm going to switch to virgin mobile htc evo v
i hope so

I hope so..Maybe chev will add the quick panel options in the notification bar like katracho said he was going to do a few posts ago for all of us. That would be cool. Ya
 
I just read the news on Katracho's phone being bricked. Sorry that happened to you and it's too bad we're losing another developer! Hope you have more fun with your next phone! Thanks for this Rom and the hard work you put into it!

I wont take over his ROM but i will help him if he has unfinished work for it.
 
My phone is running Ultra Rom and for some reason it randomly went into Ram dump mode.i pulled out the battery and turned it on and the phone fine.

should i be worried about what happened? and
can anyone explain why my phone went into Ram dump mode?
