Couldn't wait no longer

I'm pumped for you and I hope you love it! ICS has made this phone usable again never mind the fun of exploring new features.

You can freeze bloat without root. :)

You can freeze most bloat without root. Some will not give you the option to be frozen.

They seem to fall into 2 categories (that I have seen thus far):

Apps that keep coming back even if you disable them. Out of this group, one app can be frozen (Call ID) - but you have to go into caller ID, start your trial, and when it expires, decline the opportunity to purchase a subscription).

and

Apps that cannot be disabled but are still bloat (think 2 of the 3 VZW backup apps). Have to be rooted to get these suckers.

Therefore, you can disable some bloat apps without being rooted, but not all bloat apps.

How do you check your CPU speed? 1g or 1.2g?

Several ways.

From terminal emulator (or via adb shell when connected to your comptuer):

Run
Code:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
and if the BogoMIPS value is less than 2100 you're at 1.0 GHz.

Or, install and run http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aurorasoftworks.quadrant.ui.standard and then go to the System Information selection and it will relay the max CPU frequency.

Or, install and run http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mhuang.overclocking and it will also tell you the max CPU frequency (requires root.

Or, install and run http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.pmw and then select the Times button under System Tweaks and it will report the max CPU frequency (requires root).

There are also other ways, but these four I have personally verified.

Only 'bug' I've been able to come up with is that the native screenshot utility makes a camera click noise even if your camera is set to not make the shutter noise.

The only bug I've found so far is that some of my videos on my sd, particularly videos that were taken with other devices don't play back as smoothly as they used to. They play back slightly herky jerky. Strange.

so how's it looking, and is the phone 100 % functional.

everything works??????????
Everything works and works better, quicker than before.

How do you take a screenshot and where is the native utility?

How about flash vids using the browser? Did you come across a fix?

Btw- you can take a screenshot by pressing the power button and volume down button simultaneously.

It's hit and miss, some play absolutely fine and some not at all. Still cannot figure out why.
