I activated Wallet on my Nexus 7 and got 10 more dollars! Not sure where I will use them, though. I don't really see myself trying to pay with my tablet lol... that would look silly!
It took me about 3 tries to successfully use the tablet to pay for something (McDonald's finally worked, so google bought me lunch). The tablet definitely seems silly to use, but I can't actually imagine a phone being much less silly. It is still more work to unlock the pin code and tap the phone than to just swipe a credit card. I can't see NFC purchases going anywhere unless vending machines start cropping up that accept NFC for when you are out of change, but do have your phone.
A friend of mine consults with a large point of sale systems company and he says nfc is not gonna fly. We tried android phone to my n7 and it almost worked once sending between them.

Is it really that much of a hassle, tho? You have to take your wallet out, and take your card out, and swipe it- wouldn't taking the phone out, unlocking the pin and tapping it be just as much trouble?
My 5 year old son bought us lunch at McDonald's with his N7. You should have seen the cashier's face. And no, he didn't look dumb at all.![]()

I'm sure my next phone will have NFC, and I can assure you that I will use it all the time. Not sure why some people complain about it being to hard to do lol.

Don't you need a wifi connection to run the app?
I would just like to transfer the $10 from my N7 to my Gnex. Has anyone figure out how to do that?
Just to verify, will I get another $10 for signing up, even if I use the same account details as my GNex?
