It seems as if Verizon is conspiring against us to increase the hype... think about it, the more we dig and find no answers, the more anxious we get. It's working! :O

For your own sanity, I'd recommend you unsubscribe from this forum. This place has become my biggest time suck, by far. It would be like me reading a super-active thread on (your favorite car here). I can't justify the replacement cost of a new car, even though that new model (of whatever) is awesome. Following that thread would just agitate me, like this one must do for you. Damn you shiny new things!

people linked that the codename for the inc has been adr6300 so it's likely the inc in the box

we are waiting to hear from mm himself and the whole story on here

meanwhile, does anyone know about this amazonwireless?
if i buy a phone through them, it shouldnt effect my vzw upgrade pricing correct?

LOL... well I do have a purpose in following the thread. I'm waiting to find out the release date so I can recommend the phone to a couple family members that are already with Verizon. And it seems you crazy @$$ fanatics will be the ones to break the news first! In the meantime I get some seriously high quality entertainment!

As for myself... I think the Incredible certainly will live up to it's name but I don't feel I'll regret having a Desire vs Incredible.

Nope, you're one of...5 (I think) on here stuck with it. I don't have the balls to flash it, as it is my ONLY phone. I'm on my third one though, and the screen is already peeling on this one. Need...Incredible...new...phone....

I spelled phone wrong on purpose!

So, since we don't really have our Verizon dream phone yet, I was thinking about creating a thread for future features. We could start listing all the features that would make our phones the kings of coolness, keep them consolidated in the first post, then when the new ideas dry up, create a poll. I have ideas that I think would rock the phone world and I bet you folks do too. I could try hanging on to those ideas and try to capitolize on them, but honestly, I don't have the desire, nor the spare time. I would love to see them get integrated into phones, so I say "let the phone makers come use our ideas and make our phones kick a$$ !!!

How about the ability for a phone to be a programmable proximity card? How many times have you forgotten your security cards and had to call (yes, with that cell phone you never forget to carry) your buddy to come let you in the office?

How about biometrics to monitor heart rate?

What about combining GPS and heart rate, to track your run/jog/walk calories burned?

The applications we can do today on a cell phone would have taken a super computer to run, just a few years ago.

Anyways, I called a local Verizon store and asked about The Incredible and the Nexus One. The Verizon rep had no idea about the Incredible, but had some info about the Nexus One. He said he wasn't allowed to give me an exact date but hinted that it would be released next month. I asked him would it be out early, mid, or late April, and he again said that he couldn't give me that info. I then asked him if the phone would actually be purchasable at a Verizon store and he said yes. I repeated the question to make sure and added that when available for Verizon I wouldn't have to purchase the phone through Google, he again responded with a confident yes...

Are there rumors that The Incredible and the Nexus One are coming out at the same time?

They are like any 3rd party seller but they sell their phones very cheap lol.

Are you going to upgrade through them or get a new contract?

Idk about being able to upgrade through amazon on VZW, i only know you can upgrade through them with AT&T

Edit: Nvm, you can upgrade through them. Everything should be fine i guess, its all linked to your account.
 
As many others have done, I decided to call my local VZW store today to see what info I could get. I told the sales guy I was in my upgrade window and I asked him if he knew about the HTC Incredible or knew of a possible release date. His response: "ACC Incredible? I haven't heard of that. Hold on.... (asks co-worker if he's heard of the "ACC Incredible" and he responds no)....No, we've never heard of that phone before, but the Devour just came out, is that the one you're thinking of?" I knew then I was wasting my time. I politely said thank you and hung up.

So I called Verizon to cancel my acct because I have 4 days left of my 30 days. I asked him about about the incredible and about my situation. He told me to cancel my acct and I have 30 days to reactivate it if the incredible is released. He said he heard alot about it and kinda hinted at 2 weeks but had no other information.

The plot thickens. I would be surprised to see the N1 for sale in Verizon corporate stores.
 
<--- is amazed how many VZW reps are giving opposite answers, dates, etc. Some say yes, it will be in store. Others say no. Some say next week, others say May. Some say they have never heard of it, others say they have handled the phone, etc. It's freakin' whack. Whack I tell ya :cool:
