yea... i think alot of people got burned out. Verzion really messed up on this annoucement/release in my opinion The Evo is now the benchmark to beat and everything will be compaired to it.

You got that right.
Also, about Verizon Reps getting training on new devices, the HTC Inc. is not much different(as to UI) than the Eris correct? So the new phone doesn't really need few weeks of training, 1-2 days if that.

I went to the Apple store yesterday and asked about the portable i7 laptops coming out soon and the manager said unheard of (although we all know it is just a matter of weeks)

But there is such a thing as a salesman that says "Don't buy this now just to return it in 30 days". I think they would rather you have the phone you want in the near future and not be buying things with the intent of returning them.

If you want shadow info you can go to HowardForums. There are moto insiders there. One of which I believe is a PM. They hint the shadow being out in June. 4.3" with no keyboard. The droid2 is hinted at september/october and the one guy just hinted at LTE. He is good at teasing and torturing the members, but is great about confirming information that has been leak. I wish there were HTC people posting like him.

that person that called about it was probably me...i called yesterday and asked if they have any new android devices coming out and the ladie on the phone said she would check for me, but she told me nothing showed up

Further confirmation that CSR's don't know anything, I asked about the NFL package coming to Verizon. CSR said 'my system doesn't show anything. NFL reaches deal with Verizon Wireless; will put Red Zone Channel on mobile phones - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com USA Today isn't exactly a rumor rag. So if they don't know anything about something reported in USA Today, they won't know anything else.

That was me and a seidio rep told me it could take up to a month But the general consensus was about 2 weeks.
I called the call center and had the same experience. She told me to wait so I wouldn't be wasting the restocking fee. It's coming out soon and the reps know they are just not saying anything.

This post got me thinking.... It seems to me that everybody has been poking and prodding HTC & Verizon for info on the Incredible. But has anybody tried a "backdoor" approach to finding info? Such as: Poking & Prodding companies that sell phone accessories to see if they have anything coming out for the HTC Incredible? If we can find a release date for an accessory then it should coincide closely with a release date for the phone. Case Manufactures, InvisibleSHIELD, Ghost Armor, etc.... You would think that Verizon would try to sell you accessories as well when you go in to buy the phone.
I sent an email to InvisibleSHIELD to ask if/when they will be making one for the Incredible.
First post BTW. Been "lurking" for a few days now.

I have an admission. I've been cheating on the Incredible and late at night sneaking over to the Shadow forum there.
Their insiders have said May/June for the Shadow, no keyboard, and like you said September/October for the Droid 2, physical keyboard, which may support LTE. The longer I wait for the Incredible the more it seems like it might be worthwhile to wait for one of these two.
The Shadow's specs sound impressive but I really like Sense. Can someone love two phones....especially since neither really exist at this point?

Totally agree with you.
We just don't care any more. My phone was dying (and is now dead) and I'm using a borrowed Blackberry 8330. This phone sucks but guess what, it works.
Many people are probably like me, just waiting now. I spent every waking moment searching for news but I just don't care anymore. Verizon ****ed this up big time. If they would have even just announced this phone how many more would they have sold? Now people are getting burned out and taking a look around to see what else is gonna be released by other carriers. Hello Evo.

I read Amazon's extra agreement once, and I believe if you go past the 30 day trial period, and then do a Early Termination within 180 days of owning the device, Amazon tacks on another fee on top of Verizon's ETF.
I don't remember the exact details, but this is what I read about a month back or so.

Are you sure the shadow has no keyboard? I've seen pics of it with one.

This flies in the face of every reported fact regarding the timeline for VZW's LTE rollout, including statements from VZW at CTIA less than 2 days ago.

yeah but this guy she said is pretty cool. he told her directly a month ago incredible would be out in april. she doesn't work at a storefront either. this is corp stuff.

He's getting it from the "insider" on HowardForums. He's some kind of programmer I think for Moto or does work on Moto devices, not sure, and those on that forum give him the utmost in respect. I don't know how reliable he is but apparently he's been posting there for a long time.
It didn't die off. It's Saturday and folks are AFK. It was like this last weekend to a degree. Expect it to pick up soon, as more info seems to be coming out about dates.
Not true for me: I've had VZ salesmen say that to me when they knew something big was coming out.

the source/s is/are two independent people that test new phones and hardware for verizon plus the fact that the lte network will have certain areas up and running by the end of the year.
